AC no longer starts?

So, when I start a race in Assetto Corsa Content Manager, even if everything is base game and not a mod, it will give me the loading screen for loading the session, then cancel the session and boot me back to CM.
When I try to open AC via the real AC shortcut, it just won't load the main menu, it just crashes or sits loading forever.
I've verified the files on Steam recently. Nothing changed.
What's going on?

Then remove all your mods if not working then, do an Steam integrity check. Search Google for how to do that check.

I had problems in the past but it was all mods related. Once I removed those it began to work again.
