Thank You! If I would have thought about it earlier, I would have made the change early October Just took the clouds' dds from the Sepang folder (in sky.pssg) and changed the number to 05 (then loaded it in Abu_Dhabi-folder's sky.pssg file). The long part is doing a day-2-night transition race for screenshots (more of them in the download)

Glad you like it! I can't imagine the solution was sitting in there (in the Sepang folder) for all this time, and I did not think of it earlier!?! And even more stunning, why game designers themselves thought their choice of visuals there was OK to begin with!!

I can't believe they already have the files that fit that track perfectly, and, no. Somehow, they have to keep on destroying their own commercial product year after year after year! It's almost like their most profound desire is to see their business go down the drain!!

It wasn't difficult to do, actually, and I feel somehow a little bit ashamed about not having thought of really looking into the other tracks skies a few months ago already. About the Mercedes steering wheel, it's the game's default pictured there: I did not install a wheel mod for Mercedes 2013 in the interiors\me2 folder, if I recall correctly (if my bad memoy fails me again, I apologize 2 mod's creator), and also by looking at the file's creation date property in my installation folder: it's the same as the game's original. So, yes, I am spending most of my modding-activity spare time here in order to, hopefully, find ways to change the look of steering wheel 4 i want to make them different, kind of "2014-like" if u will, but that is "hard work" as I am not an expert in that matter, but I can say that some progress is being made daily on them, and that I will post a ressource 4 all cars when it will be ready. Stay tuned!

I forgot to answer this question, sorry: As I mentioned up there ^^^^ I want to focus on working on the steering wheels, and since such a comparison would take a long time to do, although I would like to do it, I prefer 2 keep focus on the wheels at the moment (it's kind of "urgent"), but if another good "2014-like" mod was to b made by an expert Artist here in the meantime, then I may abandon this "hard-work" and do that comparison. Thanks!

You mean, changing the sky texture in the sky.pssg file 4 Bahrain? It's on my 2do list after I finish the upgrade for the OLED mod here. I'll start a conversation with you to notify you when it will be ready 2 download (if no other modder makes it b4 me).

Awesome! Since Bahrain is going to be a night race I thought it would be cool to have the same sunset.

I searched the downloads section here ^^^^ and i don't have enough time to search further deeply to find an existing one, if any, so I quickly 'homemade' one here using the sky.pssg from this mode for Abu_Dhabi, and copied it into the sky.pssg file for bahrain.

Always backup all your files b4 making any changes 2 them. You may need 2 restore them if anything goes wrong in the process.

Download the sky.zip file from my mediafire acc. Unzip and copy the un-zipped sky.pssg file into your Steam\steamapps\common\f12013\tracks\circuits\bahrain folder, and you should see the same clouds as the Abu Dhabi mod's here ^^^^^.

That modded sky.pssg file for Bahrain does not implement a sunset. For a day-2-night transition there, you would also need to copy the tod.dat & tod.xml files from Abu_Dhabi into the bahrain folder, but a few laps b4 sunset, the track will start to become very dark, since there are no night time lights configured by default for bahrain '13. Best use is to do 50% races, not 100%

Now that's what I call immersion! It was breath taking to race around a stunning track matched visually by your majestic sunset. It doesn't get any better mate.

I don't know, I did not buy that unfaithful version. My advice is you make a backup of the 2014 Abu_Dhabi circuit's sky.pssg file, copy this one into it, and if the game refuses to load, press Alt+F4 to shutdown the app, restore the original backup file, and conclude it doesn't work in that other un-finished game.
