3rd party Apps not loading.

Hello,

I have two identical PC's running identical W7 with identical Asetto Corsa installs.

Out of the blue one of them stopped loading any of its 3-rd party apps.
Sidekick
ProTyre
BigShifter
CarRadar
Map Display

They're all checked in settings and python.ini says "ACTIVE=1", but
they don't show up in sidebar, nor on screen.

py_log.txt has the following:
ERROR Importing libraries: DLL load failed
(searched Google or hours, nothing but Linux crap)

I tried everything. Different W7 account, Steam verify, new AC profile, new AC install, re-install Apps, re-install CommonRedist stuff, repaired other ReDists, System Restore, copied working AC from other PC, turned AntiVirus/Firewall on/off, etc, etc.

I have W7 updates on manual, so nothing "should" have crept in. nVidia
drivers updated. Otherwise, AC works perfectly except for these apps
not loading, with that cryptic DLL error.

Any ideas?

Thanks.
Pete

The only link between those apps is ..... Python.
So ... maybe this AC install has a Python problem .... reinstalling it also might be a good idea.

NB: your logs might tell more about this error .... the previous lines of the message you mention should show the missing or maybe corrupted file

search for proTyres in log.txt to see it loads ok,
then any other error should be shown in py_log. txt, there is an fault handler when loading the libs

try disable all other apps and start with one (for example proTyres)

One single app may cause the problem .... so try as Jens said above ... one app at a time so you can discover which one is responsible ....
I suspect one of your stdlib or stdlib64 is corrupted.

When you'll know which one .... it'll be easy to copy it from your working install to the other one.

Thank everyone,

As I mentioned, I tried all those suggestions. Jempy, the stock apps are python too and they work fine. Further diagnoses revealed that Real Head Motion doesn't work either. My tip is a corrupt DirectX registry setting, since I reinstalled it also. For some reason the setting is not fixed.

My other tip is a bad Ram stick. If not, then it's a C: drive restore from a Clone.

I'll let you know how it goes...

<Update>
It wasn't the Ram.

<Update2>
Reinstalling Realtek HD Audio drivers fixed 3rd party Apps not loading.
Do not ask me how.

Real Head Motion is still not working though.
DLL registration might be the culprit. The hunt goes on...

<Update3>
OK, Real Head Motion is finally working. What I did was unregister the DLLs
and download the older version of RHM, that required the FreePie program.
Installed it, set the required paths and started AC. It worked :)
After that I uninstalled FP and RHM and restored the new version. It started
working as well. So I'm thinking the DLLs got stuck in the Matrix somehow
and the new RHM register DLL function couldn't free them up. Installing FreePie
did the trick.

Anyway, hope this is of help.

Cheers.

Currently having the same issue, but reinstalling the audio drivers does nothing. How should I proceed?
