3dsimed HELP

i have no idea why it does this, but ive searched everywhere and found nothing:
you can see what its meant to look like in MAX, compared to what it looks like in Simed. not happy. Please. i am on my knees here needing help

I'm thinking you have some normals flipped?

all normals are set correctly. i set that and made sure of that

flipping normals makes no difference either
