3080 or 3090 for Triple 1440p / Reverb G2 at max refresh rate (ACC)

Dan Suzuki https://twitter.com/DanSuzukiTV has now some test results, ACC 1440p triples with epic settings a bit over 50fps.

Max = +37.2%

Wow! 35-40% over the 2080ti at 1440p triples! What CPU is he using?
Look at the fps in numbers.. Cpu probably isn't a bottleneck at 42-59 fps... That about what my 2600k could do...
But it would still be interesting to see if there's a cpu limit anyway that's holding back the 3080.
I doubt this though since my percentage calculations in the "will you buy a 3080" thread here from existing guru3d benchmarks shows very similar results!

I thought ACC wanted 5 cores !? That's what i gathered from research, my 7700k @ 5.1GHz is certainly struggling at 5760x1080 which is evident but running at 70% res scale with little GPU load and still dropping below 60fps at some tracks!

Yes it runs basically unchanged when you have more than 5 cores. 4c+ht show quite a lower performance.
But you say "still dropping at some tracks". This benchmark never even reaches 60 fps!
I guess if you'd disable vsync or fps limiters, your 7700k would probably run between 48-80 fps. But not 42-59!

Or he compared performance with vsync on.. That would be pretty stupid though hehe

Anyway I don't think he has only a 4 core cpu when he compares a 2080ti to the new 3080!
