Would you teach me how to convert stuff from other games to rf2?

I basically did a new skin as described here (rf2 livery tutorial) and cut&paste the decals from the dds files over. Worked alright for this one but will most likely not for others so there is not much to teach.
Anyway, I uploaded it here rf2 Skin
