OK, you win When I went to school in england it wasn't correct, but.....that was 50 years ago, and language is constantly evolving. Every day's a school day
That was pretty lousy from Ferrari. You've got to assert authority and just tell the whiny little kid (who I quite liked at Sauber) to quit bitching and moaning and just get on with f****g driving.
If you arrange a team tactic you have to obey it. Charles let Seb draft him and he left the inside open like they planned to secure the 1-2 track positions.
After that Seb was faster than Charles and Ferrari just let Charles talk a bit, Seb does what he has to do. Ferrari shows their authority with the undercut for Charles.
Charles talks a lot and it's the way he talks that makes him look like he's whining but he's just informing when/how/if Seb will let him past (like they planned before the race).
Edit: They also try to calm him by repeating "Keep you head down"
Ferrari was just super unlucky today. Losing a car which results in a VSC which screws the other car.
And that was a lousy team tactic. It's a god damn race, of course the guy behind you is going to slip stream, although Seb overtook two brilliant drivers in front of him purely on merit; he was just too good off the starting line. It's exactly like people started mopping about Singapore completely ignoring the fact that the man punched in a monster of an outlap. Anyway..
Leclarc is such a whiny baby... just race man!!!
As a Mercedes guy, I thank you Ferrari.
OK.The 'overtake on merit' part isn't quite right. Leclerc could defend and close the inside line, forcing Seb to the outside. But he didn't, he left the door open like planned.
If he did Vettel would have to go to the outside and would never be P1.
