2019 Formula One Austrian Grand Prix

I think they'll find Verstappen to be in the wrong, but try everything they can to give him a penalty that doesn't take the win away.

Ferrari will be fuming at anything less than a 5 second penalty.

Without the DRS and with Mercedes doing the race he would not have won.
It's unbelievable how bottas let him pass.

There is no incident with Leclerc, Leclerc should have closed the door.
Watching the onboard replay it's clear that Verstappen pushed him out of the corner but it's not forbidden.

For two years all that I have heard is how great Leclerc is supposed to be. Will Buxton and Martin Brundle wouldn't shut up about him. That's exactly why one should remember that ex-drivers turned broadcasters or columnists are no different than the average fan. I expected Leclarc to be some guy brought down on a cloud from the heavens to race with mortal humans.

The guy hasn't impressed me one bit.

Let me also add that it now looks as though Ferrari has two crackers under pressure. Mmmm.. Ferrari loves the taste of crackers.

Only one lap earlier they were racing hard and leaving space to each other. So it is obviously possible. I am not for the penalties like this but it should be one now. :(

Exactly. Yes I'm all for letting the drivers race without steward interference, but hard racing =/= dirty racing...you can race hard, but still clean. Max could have left room if he wanted to, he did it on the previous lap, same corner. You can't go screaming into the inside aggressively and then come out on the curb on a wide racing line like there isn't a car wheel to wheel with you, that's divebombing if I'm not mistaken. There were still 2.5 laps left I believe and he definitely had the pace; he didn't need to do it there, just patience would have won him the race...but he did so it should be scrutinized.

Instead of everyone making noise about Stewards this and Stewards that, why aren't we holding our drivers to a higher standard so that they race hard AND clean?

So qualifying pole position on your second race in a new car and outperforming a 4 time world champion that is known to be quick on that track is not impressive to you?

Man, you must be one tough cookie with expectations higher than d-o-double-g.

Whoops. Pardon me. Looks like i dropped a bar here.

After the dull French, this was an epic Austrian GP! Great rollercoaster!
As much I don't like him, respect where is due, hat off to Max he really drove like a winner. He did pushed and maybe he does deserve a penalty, but all in all he was above everyone today once that Red Bull put on that medium compound.

Completely with you man. But I think Seb was on pair with Charles, just Ferrari being Ferrari once more.

let be realistic guys. If vettel was penalized in Canada, so has to be here for Verstappen. If Vettel didn't (as everyone hoped) now we would have no problems. This is absolutely the case in which we very realize the damage that the judges did in Canada

RBR instructed Verstappen to change something on his wheel, probably overriding a safe guard which was alarming and limiting engine power. Horner also explained on F1 TV that is was an exhaust sensor causing the 'reported' loss of power
So it's a safe guard or a sensor issue? lol

I can be wrong?, Does Merc drive without DRS?:p

I don't see the problem with Verstappen's move. The corner was his, Leclerc left the door wide open and then he had to back off.
Yeah. During the german TV coverage, former driver Timo Glock said that if the run-off area wasn't asphalt but grass or gravel, Leclerc would've backed off like he should have and there wouldn't have been an issue. Verstappen was in front, so the corner and racing line were his. But he also said that after Canada, they would have to punish Max as well.

Give Max a competive car and it is not borring ;)

last... race deparment question about is formula 1 borring. @ 14 agree and two laugh from manny people here I was one of the minority who vote no... we see it today! And I hope we see it more... also Leclerc very good driving today  this guys are the senna and prost in the future

Congrats Leclerc!
Omg really?!well to be honest i think it's the right decision, but i'm not sure it's the best decision for the sport and the fight on track, anyway WONDERFUL RACE.
