2017 Team Penske #6 IMSA | URD Loire 07 - Team Penske's single race test run before the ARX-05 in 2018.

Team Penske's IMSA debut was a one-off for 2017. They used Petit Le Mans as a dress rehearsal for their 2018 season running the Acura ARX-05.

The team qualified on pole for the race but quickly went down after an accident necessitated a rear wing change. Nevertheless, Helio Castroneves, Simon Pagenaud, and Juan Pablo Montoya were able to bounce back and finish third in the race.
