Nobody is disputing that...,

The problem is the penalty. It seems people are ok with Hamilton having his own personal penalties.
If it was Alonso the same penalty would've been applied.
I'm just sick of the Calimero behaviour of Hamilton fans.
Always complaining that others have it less worse, complaining that others have a better car, complaining about even more,.
Jeez, grow up and take your responsibility..

Under the rules, drivers are supposed to return to parc ferme under their own power and with a minimum of one-litre of fuel on board to be able to supply a sample to the FIA.

It is not acceptable for drivers to stop early simply to save petrol for the sample - because that would give them a competitive advantage as they could run with less fuel, and therefore less weight, during their qualifying lap.

Following a directive issued at the 2010 Canadian Grand Prix, after Lewis Hamilton and McLaren were given a reprimand and a $10,000 fine for stopping deliberately on a slowing down lap after qualifying to save fuel, the FIA has made it clear that only genuine technical problems would be acceptable.

Changing the penalty rules as they please i see.

Nope he would not have gotten the same penalty.

Another one is Eric Vergne. Failed to scrutinize the car, penalty? Nothing....

I'm not a Hamilton fan, but you can't deny that his last two races were rather unfortunate for him, without any fault on his side. :p
Button wasn't all too happy with the team either.

He would.

About Vergne:
However, after meeting with the stewards and explaining why he failed to stop, the FIA handed the Frenchman a reprimand rather than a grid penalty or exlusion from the race as per the regulations.
The FIA explained that "upon realising the error, the team, under supervision of a scrutineer, brought the car back to the FIA garage."
Something completely different as well..
You can't compare apples and oranges. He got a reprimand for it being the first time.

But you shouldn't forget how strong a lie works in your disadvantage.. Lies about technical problems while there is none won't give LH an advantage..

This rule wasn't there before, and now it exists to prevent this kind of situations to happen. McLaren had agreed to it. So, it's McLaren's fault for not putting enough fuel. Plain simple.

However, I find the penalty a bit harsh. They should have put Hamilton down to 10th not at the back of the grid. It's not like he violated any rules during Q1 and Q2 so why exclude him from Qualifying?!

But they should add another rule:

Drivers who don't set a time in Q3 have to start the race on rain tyres in case it's dry..
And they have to start on hard dry tyres when it's raining.

That will teach them..

He would.

He wouldn´t.

And had Hamilton forgot to scrutinize his car he would probably be banned from F1.

Yes and after Canada the rules were made 100% clear. So McLaren and Hamilton knew it now.. They did it a second time and have a big problem now.

I don't see a problem.
So you can change penalty as you like then. First time i heard that one.

They never said that if this happens again, you will be disqualified from the session.
Again, he got the same penalty as someone crashing into another driver on purpose or parking your car in the middle of the road in the middle of a session.

This is not consistent one bit.

Nope, but after all the stuff he's been doing he might have been set back on the grid. He has had enough reprimands during his career. So maybe these kind of punishments will finally teach him.
Ahh because it´s Hamilton who personally fuels the car....

He should have kept his P6 spot. His first timed lap was enough for 6th and he had more then enough fuel as he went back into the pits after that.
