Each one of those in "..\content\tracks\deutschlandring\2way\data\ai_hints.ini" can slow the traffic and they can work together too. Like Lord Kunos himself said on the official forum:
"HINT_x multiply the radius of the corner seen by the AI. Useful when AI is too fast or too slow in a corner.. usually due to compression/decompressions but there could be other reasons such as hairpin with long straight after and where the AI is going in too hot loosing in exit speed.
BRAKEHINT_x changes the AI idea of how hard it can brake in that zone.. again some compression and,especially decompression area might need this
DANGER_x is an hint that kicks in when the AI is engaged and it's informing the AI to take it easy in that section if engaged.. it's used very rarely"

The "correct" side, huh? It's Deutchland-ring so it would be completely in-correct driving in the left lane. Besides it requires doing all of the work again - the lines, hints, cameras, pit spawns. Some of it you can attempt to do yourself - take a plunge into it after reading the thread about generating the lines. At minimum after following the main post you will get the desired left lane flow. And it's more fun playing god than just drive.

Install: extract all from "2-way Traffic Layout for Deutschlandring.7z" into the track`s folder "..\AssettoCorsa\content\tracks\deutschlandring\" and confirm the prompt.
To open the track`s folder you can use CM -> right click on track
