The first of a few variations of this GT40, P/1081 as owned by IGFA Racing Team from Germany. The all-German team saw some major successes alongside the famous Gulf GT40's in the 1969 WSC season.

Upon winning Brands Hatch, John Wyer entered both P/1074 and P/1075 at the next WSC round; the Monza 1000km.
This time P/1075 failed to finish the race with a broken exhaust, but P/1074 went on to win the race overall.
