After 18 years, Tokyo Xtreme Racer is set to return with a new title in 2025. Watch as Emily takes a trip down memory lane with the series as she plays Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3!
It has been almost 20 years since the last instalment of the Tokyo Xtreme Racer series was published, or rather a game related to it. Import Tuner Challenge hit the shelves in 2006, and the Xbox-360-only title is part of the Shutoko Battle series - which is what the Tokyo Xtreme Racer series is called in Japan. Since then, fans have been waiting for a successor.
After just two mobile games along the way in 2011's Shutoko Battle and 2017's Shutoko Battle Xtreme, their patience will be rewarded in 2025: Announced in August, Tokyo Xtreme Racer is set to return next year.
Naturally, @Emily Jones had to take a look back at the series so far. With little being known about the upcoming title, Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3 is the stage for a retrospective about the series. Check out the video embedded above for Emily's thoughts on the franchise!
