TrophyRC Expands It's Horizons With New Content In The Pipeline

Last week, we featured a small up-and-coming indie title called TrophyRC. With a release on the horizon and over 10,000 wishlist additions on Steam, TrophyRC is picking up speed. The latest addition to the game is a potential expansion with lorries and unbranded RC buggies.

Racing games and sim titles strive to have official licences for their playable vehicles. The level of immersion that a spread of licensed cars adds is undoubtedly desirable for racing simulators; unlicensed vehicles are usually attributed to arcade titles. However, in the case of TrophyRC, licenced cars are not as important, as many radio-controlled vehicles look very similar to others on the outside.

Could licensed content be included in the future?

If a company as big as Traxxas or a smaller company like Kamtec could take a risk on a small unreleased title like TrophyRC, it would be a massive step forward. However, for solo developer Eugene Hatskevich, that would come with a lot of financial obligations regarding publishing.

There is a wide variety of potentially playable vehicles in TrophyRC

The new vehicle appears to be a Baja-style truck, not shown in the photo above. The only other vehicle we have seen being taken up and down the obstacles is a 4X4-style SUV. However, Lorries and European trucks have also been shown with box trailers. Military-style trucks have also appeared in screenshots on trailers.

As mentioned in the introduction, TrophyRC has breached 10,000 Steam wishlists without any advertisement outside of LinkedIn updates and the occasional X post. Eugene Hatskevich's work is inspiring, and this project could undoubtedly turn into something special. The necessity for licensing in this game style is certainly not there, but it would be nice to see it in the future.

If you want to try TrophyRC for yourself, head over to the game's Itch.io page and help this game reach its potential! The game is currently in the Prototype stage. However, a future console release and confirmation of multiplayer are on the itinerary. Of course, these features are far in the future, but it is good to see the groundwork being laid.

Traxxas, The Logitech of the RC world.

If Logitech was also the most expensive option.

But in my experience also give Logitech the reliability of fanatic on one of their bad days lol. To be clear I think Logitech makes good stuff for what it is tho.

Liking the visual realism in this Sim, just stunning and having a variety of vehicles to choose from is also fantastic. Will also being interesting to see what other types of map environments will show up as I can not see the Truck and Trailer going over that Track course the Off Roader did...lol

Very nice, thanks for keeping this current Connor:thumbsup:

This is looking very familiar:confused:
