The Crew Motorfest sees its first map expansion with the launch of Year 2, with the base map of the Hawaiian island O'ahu being joined by its sister island Maui that will be free to all players.
After the original The Crew and its follow-up The Crew 2, the latest iteration of the series Motorfest ventured outside of the continental United States and featured a much smaller map. Specifically, it takes place on a 1:1 scale recreation of O'ahu in the Hawaiian islands.
But from November 6 with the arrival of Season 5 (or Year 2, as Ubisoft also called the release), O'ahu will be joined by its fellow Hawaiian island Maui in a free map expansion. Despite being separated by the Molokai and Lanai islands and over 100 miles in real life, the islands will be closer in-game and connected seamlessly by bridges without any loading time.
Amongst the many noteworthy aspects of the new map like the rainforests, mountain roads, volcanic cliffs and red sand beaches, the likes of the Bamboo Forest and Road to Hana are expected to be the highlights for players - as is Haleakala, a massive caldera featuring steep slopes and old lava flows, with those being just three of nine new areas unveiled thus far.
Perhaps the most enticing new addition in the Maui expansion will be banked roads with dramatic undulation that will provide a new experience to all Motorfest players.
Of course, there will be plenty of new races and events to go along with the new map. The Crew Motorfest is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC for both Ubisoft's own launcher and Steam. The Maui map will be added November 6.

With a semi-extinct volcano present, the smoke, dust and debris will react realistically to vehicles, especially with offroad cars and air vehicles attempting to get as close to the volcano as possible.Of course, there will be plenty of new races and events to go along with the new map.
