Super Woden GP 2 Is Coming To Consoles This Summer

When it released on PC in November 2023, Super Woden GP 2 presented racing game fans with a charming top-down racer. This summer, it will make its way to consoles as well.

Racing games do not always have to be super serious, and Super Woden GP 2 showed that very well when it first launched in 2023. The top-down racer immediately reminded us of a cross between Gran Turismo and Circuit Superstars. It also was well-received by the community, with the game winning the "Indie Game Project of the Year" in the 2023 RaceDepartment/OverTake awards.

So far, Super Woden GP 2 is only available on PC, but players will soon be able to enjoy the game on their favorite console - and even get to take it with them wherever they want. Developer ViJuDa, which is the one-man studio of Víctor Justo Dacruz, has announced that SWGP2 is coming to PlayStation 4/5 and Xbox One/Series X|S, as well as SteamDeck and Nintendo Switch.

The game's laid-back approach should lend itself well to the handheld consoles in particular, similar to the Switch version of Circuit Superstars. When the console versions of SWGP2 are going to arrive is not quite clear yet, with ViJuDa simply mentioning "this summer" as a rough time frame, adding that "I hope to be able to announce the exact day as soon as possible."

Keeping an eye on their Twitter (or X, if you prefer) account should pay off, then, with the northern hemisphere's Summer not being far off anymore.

Cant wait for Gamermuscle to tell us the force feedback and tyre model is better than Iracing but not as good as Assetto Corsa:)

I get it that tribalistic tubers like him are annoying... I do have to wonder how much money he makes off of people complaining about him and having people go "Who is that" before heading to youtube... A click is a click... lol

Nice... now I can hate isometric camera on racing games as much as I used to hate it in the 80s.

Well i kinda like GM. Even if i might not agree with all he says (and i don't), it's better that he speaks his mind, rather than being yet another "Guys guys, this is the golden age of simracing! Like and subscribe guys, this is great" overly positive, fake online persona, or worse, a paid shill.

Does that include the holocaust humour or nah?

All the previous Woden GP games have been fun, and this one seems fun too (from my short play so far). Lots of cars!

Having played it on the steam deck for a bit before refunding I think the camera is too zoomed in and the interia is a bit sick inducing. Several people made topics about it on the steam forums but the dev was very firm againest anything related to the camera. I think thats the biggest downside, the gameplay is ok and theres a lot of content but I cant get over how annoying the camera is

I like GM as well.He does some great reviews. The best reviewers are those that you can make an informed decision on,not someone you can always agree with and nod along with.A lot of other Youtubers want to get along with everyone in their community and the people who make the products so the content can be a bit vanilla.
