A car that did not get past the concept stage is now ready for The Crew Motorfest players: The LMP1-derived Porsche 919 Street makes its debut in the game.

Did you know that Porsche created a concept for a road going version of their Le Mans and WEC winning 919 Hybrid LMP1 car? If you ever wanted to drive it, the 919 Street will be available to drive in the most recent update for The Crew Motorfest.

From 2014 to 2017, Porsche returned to the top flight of sportscar racing with their 919 Hybrid. The car took 17 wins including three consecutive Le Mans victories, and also three sets of straight World Endurance Championship driver's and constructor's titles. After withdrawing from the series, they took a heavily-modified version of the car to the Nürburgring-Nordschleife and pulverised the lap record with an eye-watering time of 5:19.5 minutes.

Without doubt one of the most successful and iconic sports prototype racecars of the modern age, but perhaps many of you may not be aware that in the last year of it in competition, Porsche created a road-going concept called the 919 Street. It never went into production unfortunately, but new life will be breathed into it through the latest update to The Crew Motorfest available on 25 September.

Just like the racing car, the 919 Street is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged V4 which works in tandem with a Kinetic Energy Recovery System to churn out a combined total of 900 horsepower, not that much less than the LMP1. The prospect of that sounds mouth-watering, and unfortunately it would appear Porsche thought this this LMP1 car was too much.

The concept only exists as a one-off, and Supercar Blondie was one of the first people to get up close to it.

But now, those who play The Crew Motorfest can boot it up and drive the 919 Street as part of a Porsche-dedicated event. The Taycan Turbo S Thunder Edition 2021 is currently available as a Summit Contest reward, as well as two bundles that feature the likes of Cayenne Turbo GT 2022, Hoonigan 911 Turbo RWB 1993, 911 Director's Cut Edition 1964 and the 918 Spyder Silvery Edition 2015.

The game is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and also on PC, both for the Ubisoft Launcher and recently it was added to Steam. Plus, developers Ubisoft Ivory Tower have confirmed that Motorfest along with its predecessor The Crew 2 will be soon able to play offline as they have been online-only games.
