OverTake Kicks Off Community Launch Events With MOZA Racing

Testing new sim racing hardware can be difficult for the lack of opportunities – so we want to help our community with that, starting with a MOZA Racing Community Launch Event on June 4 at the OverTake office.

Opportunities to try new hardware on-site and with your own hands are rare in sim racing, with brick-and-mortar stores not exactly being common. Annual events like Sim Formula Europe are about the only exception. So if you are thinking “well, how do I know if this new piece of kit will actually work for me?”, you might want to stop by the OverTake office soon.

We want to offer our community the opportunity to try select hardware on our rigs, surrounded by fellow community members – some friendly competition and relaxed atmosphere included. Got questions for the OverTake team? Of course, we will also be there to make sure it is going to be a great event, as will select YouTube racing creators.

MOZA Racing is going to kick things off on June 4: The hardware manufacturer has firmly established itself on the sim racing market in just a few years, offering an ecosystem that spans everything from entry-level to high-end. Soon, another bundle is joining their lineup: The MOZA Racing R3 Bundle is set to launch on the day of the event.

Try MOZA Hardware For Free

Accordingly, the new MOZA R3 bundle, as well as other MOZA products, will be ready for you to try at the OverTake office. That means wheels, pedals and other peripherals, as well as a selection of different games and sims, both on PC and consoles.

And the best part: The event will be free to attend! However, limited tickets will be available, because if we wanted to host all our community members, the construction work required certainly would not be ready by next Tuesday.

The OverTake office is located in Cologne. The Community Launch Event will take place from early afternoon until the late evening. We will create a forum for you to team up with fellow sim racers to arrange travel to Cologne! Conveniently, we are close to a train station and have a parking lot on-site, so whatever your travel plans are, you will be able to reach us easily.

More information about our location will be provided once you register for a ticket – and more details about the event itself will follow tomorrow.

We are looking forward to meeting you at the OverTake office in Cologne!

This winter I was lucky enough to borrow an R9 for a few weeks. However, I only managed to test in AMS2, rF2 and AC. Of which drivers worked just as PnP. As it should be nowadays.

But so a newbie question:

Is Moza software as universal reaching as Thrustmaster's and Logitech's dittoes?
I race more and more sims with sim hardware - a new sim just means an extra sim to choose between here. I will never replace. That's simply not me. Regarding simracing with FFB wheel consequently means sims dating back to 1996 and Grand Prix 2.

So therefore extremely important to me having a reliable driver software reaching out as far as possible without necessity of too many quirks.

This summer is my first R9/ES/KS anniversary and I have to say I'm looking forward to chatting w/community racers who may be trying out Moza kits for the 1st time. and It's really important to me to hear how well recieved Moza is at home. as excited as I am about this event for attendants and Moza, let's all hope for an intriguing insite into the future of Moza Racing, it's community engagement, and efforts to build relationships with racers/users everywhere who are looking for the best experience possible from thier product.

My R5, with ES (including Formula and 12-inch mods), is performing exceptionally well. I'm looking forward to owning a KS in the future. A force feedback (FFB) setting of 5.5 is sufficient for me, although 8 would be ideal. The details, which are the most important aspect, are incredible after fine-tuning with the PitHouse software. Achieving all the desired details is effortless. In less than a year, Moza has surpassed other brands like Fanatec, at least according to my personal taste.

A KS wheel will be among the prizes, just in case you need a reason to visit us during the event ;)

Really excited to hear about the new Moza R3 and have been waiting months for some update on it.

However, per the Moza website, there is still no Xbox compatibility with either Assetto Corsa Competizione or F1 2023. Let's hope that's fixed by the release date as I cannot see much interest in the console market if ACC or F1 is not compatible like the CSL DD McLaren wheel from Fanatec
