For the final time, our OverTake British GT4 League in Assetto Corsa Competizione hits the track: Brands Hatch will be the site of the final at 19:30 UTC on December 19.
Four rounds down, just one to go - Brands Hatch awaits the drivers of our British GT4 League in Assetto Corsa Competizione. The iconic circuit will see the grid of GT4 machinery battle it out for the final time and the champion be crowned - although that decision has almost been made last time out in Snetterton.
Somewhat surprisingly, the race was essentially dry, with just a few sprinkles of rain appearing here and there, but not warranting a pit stop for picking up a set of wets. And as Donington winner and overall second-placed @MichaelT28 was not on the grid again like at Oulton Park, it was very much @RedLMR56's event. Their Ginetta topped the timing sheets in both practice and qualifying.
And this would not change in the race, either. Starting from Pole Position, they stayed ahead the entire time, with the gap to P2 finisher @Fernando Silva being 30 seconds in the end, with @Jordan64011 a further nine seconds back in P3.
Heading into Brands Hatch, this makes for a very straight-forward championship scenario: @RedLMR56 just needs a single point to clinch the title, as all @MichaelT28 could do would be to draw even with a victory and @RedLMR56 not scoring. The "best 4 out of 5" scoring method does not come into play here, as @RedLMR56's drop score would be the points-less finish at the Silverstone opener.
To see how it shakes out, tune in to Twitch for the race broadcast tonight, which is set to start just before the green flag flies at 20:00 UTC. Or, even better, join the grid - non-Premium Members are welcome, so if an hour-long GT4 battle around Brands Hatch sounds like a fun way to spend a Thursday night, head on over to the league thread on our forum!
