Milestone Releases First Trailer for MXGP 2021

Developer Milestone has released their first trailer for the 2021 edition of the popular MXGP game.

MXGP 2021 is set to be released November 30th, and developer Milestone has released their first trailer for the upcoming motocross racing title.

The trailer didn’t reveal much of what to expect from 2021, but fans of the series are hoping to see the fast, high-flying, off-road action of the previous titles retained. Like all racing titles, the vehicle physics and handling model in the MXGP series has its share of detractors, but the wheel-to-wheel racing action over huge dirt jumps is undeniably fun.

A primary focus of the trailer was the track building mode, which allows players to design their own track by adding sections of track and objects piece by piece. The video also showcased waypoints on a course running over some very harsh terrain, along with the standard motocross racing action we associate with the title.

Owners of the previous titles will have to wait a bit longer to see what has changed in the 2021 version versus 2020, as nothing was revealed as far as gameplay or updates and improvements.

There will be a number of ways to play MXGP 2021, as versions of the game are planned to be released on Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. If you haven’t had a chance to play the MXGP series, the 2020 edition is on sale right now on Steam at 60% off this weekend.

If you’re a fan of the MXGP series or planning to try it for the first time soon, let us know in the comments below.

Is it popular?

Seems to me that each release dies quicker then the last and none of them have achieved any real community.

They also never live up to their promises, nor really improve, Just seem to come out year by year like it was some sort of contractual obligation.

Milestone. Rinse and repeat.
Only partially true. They did hose the AI when they did MotoGP20. I actually had to uninstall MotoGP20 and reinstall MotoGP19. Much better racing. Also they did kill the Driver Career that I liked in 2017. So...

Do we know for how much longer Milestone will hold the licenses for MotoGP, MXGP, and AMA Supercross?

Bought the previous game few months ago for 5 Euro or something like that.
Driving with the drivers view is ok but nothing special.
From time to time doing few laps is ok but thats all.

Now the trailer shows NOTHING NEW with the exception of track "building".
Rest seems to be equal like in 2020 version.
So no reason to but it.

Nope. No more. Won't be buying any more Milestone games. I've had enough with them. Every licence should come with a term limit. After certain number of releases, the licence should go FREE, so that somebody else would get the chance to make something better, or force the developer to release less titles but with better quality.

MotoGP until 2026
Supercross 5 will be the last game of the current agreement.
About the MXGP license I have no idea.

There already is one...

I'd forgotten about this until you mentioned it:

Just a taster video - It's quite a good game from what i can remember, i'll have to dig it up and play it again! ;)
Strange, i have heared only real bad reviews about the Game so did even not mention it.
i would really like a solid/good speedway game

Looks bad... they could have at least mad the effort to make it with UE5 instead. At least we would have a spec of feeling there is something new to it.

No problem...but your comment just mentioned that you wanted a speedway gp game, so i thought i'd inform you of it.

Speedway is somewhat a very niche interest sport and thus is probably why all developers haven't produced a title of it, there's many other motorsports that have the same issue...for example trials riding.

As far as the bad reviews; well i can't really comment on such things as i've never really read any. I have the game however and to be quite honest, it's not too bad considering what speedway is about and how the bikes handle...
I wouldn't 'knock it' until you've actually tried it ;)

Once you become used to the controls and how best to ride the bikes...it's actually a very fun game! ;).

Cheers!

Yeah everything cool. Maybe i give the Game a chance soon.
I Am sad the sport don’t get enough publicity or popularity because it’s very exciting Sport for me.
And yes i dont wonder either there are no games about it.

It's been culled from Steam store but Fanatical often do deal on this Speedway game for the cost of a pricey coffee/cheap Burger. I found it tough on the realism settings but you can scale the difficulty. https://store.steampowered.com/app/348820/FIM_Speedway_Grand_Prix_15/

Edit: Apologies should have read the thread and not a sentence. DOH!

Some steam keys are avaiable under 10€ and thats a fair price., but i dunno if steam even let add the game to the library.
The steam reviews are not that bad as the pc magazines reviews has been.

And i mean they have the official license - so IF the grid girls are licensed also, well they alone are worth the price :geek: :inlove:

Do you prefer licensed hardware?

  • Yes for me it is vital

  • Yes, but only if it's a manufacturer I like

  • Yes, but only if the price is right

  • No, a generic wheel is fine

  • No, I would be ok with a replica
