Season 2 for F1 24 will begin on Wednesday 24th of July bringing a whole host of new content, challenges and events for players to get stuck into.

Throughout this update, F1 24 takes players back to iconic moments from the first half of this unexpectedly competitive 2024 Formula One season. You as the player will compete on some of the 2024 calendar's most historic circuits in event series' featuring this season's featured teams, Kick Sauber and Red Bull Racing.

New Pro Challenges, Challenge Career moments, Race Scenarios, and a refreshed Podium Pass will also be featured, allowing players to win exclusive rewards through levelling up the 'Battle Pass' style Podium Pass.

Pro Challenges

Two Pro Challenges are included within season 2 of F1 24. Beating China's Guanyu Zhou on his home turf will unlock Zhou's special race helmet from this year's Chinese Grand Prix. China returned to the calendar for the first time since 2019 this season, so brush off the dust and get on track to beat China's best.

Beating Max Verstappen's time at Monza will gift you a 'new and soon-to-be coveted' item belonging to the Dutchman, suspected to be his custom Italian Grand Prix helmet. Monza is a top-speed circuit, make sure you nail those exits to make the most of its long and famous straights.

The true difficulty of these challenges is unknown at this stage. However, considering there are only two pro challenges at this moment in time, they have to be difficult enough to challenge the average F1 24 player.

Challenge Career Moments

Two major event series will be made available for fans to relive iconic moments. The Kick Sauber event introduces the other half of the garage, Valtteri Bottas, with his greatest performances in the black and green machine.

On the other hand, the Red Bull Event Series puts you back in Max Verstappen's shoes as he pursues his fourth world title in 2024 battling alongside the likes of Carlos Sainz, Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc.

Both series of events and races offer exciting Scenarios that allow players to recreate historic moments from these drivers' careers; Zhou's first-ever home race in Shanghai this year, Verstappen's now iconic first Red Bull victory in Spain, and the flying Dutchman's record-extending fourth consecutive win on home soil in the Netherlands.

Season 2 creates a varied blend of content for those who choose to invest in this year's Formula One title. One major issue we have with this update, however, is the classic races. Very few people who understand or remember the importance of these events will want to recreate them in the modern 2024 cars. Would this not be the perfect place to introduce historic cars?

Really? Is anyone surprised by this constant cash grab every year for new liveries?
This year is literally just that. New liveries. Same lineups and everything the same if not worse than before. Everything new in the career mode very quickly feels lazy and repetitive apparently.

"Beating China's Guanyu Zhou on his home turf will unlock Zhou's special race helmet from this year's Chinese Grand Prix"Big ask,I mean the guy cant even beat Bottas and runs round at the back of the field most races.

I wasnt sure about buying this title but the chance to wear Zhou's special helmet as I pretend to race in F1 has clinched it.

Extremely tempting to buy the title with this stimulating and animating article :roflmao:

"Iconic moments"? Sounds phenomenal.
But I thought it was a sim title and not a historical documentary or an action movie?
I really don't understand what kinda simmers feeling attracted to those kind of things....

I WAS tempted to get the latest edition - this already having legacy as EA's F1 1998, 2000, 2001, 99-03, Codemaster's F1 2013, 2014, 2015 as well as later EA releases F1 2020, F12022 and F1 23 - but I just need to get out of the pit instantly, typically post a few garage setup work, the other thingy I really don't understand simmers to prioritize their time on.

And to unluck "a special race helmet" of modern times?
Really? Have hard times to find things smelling that badly and artificial.

Next step seems to be micro-transactions.
Pardon my French.

Think I'm off to this title. This article convinced me, thanks.

The whole F1 thing would be better if they'd stop racing on paved tracks. Slap some B. F. Goodrich off-road tires on those things, install off-road suspensions and skid plates, and tear up the pavement. Formula One DIRT! It's an idea whose time has come! Yeeeeehaaaw! :D

EA is trying to follow the real deal season....at their own pace.
So if you can make it to Hungary with a pallet of gravel/mud and four new monster truck tires, then EA will surely come up with a payable DLC ...at winter time, if you're lucky.
