Notable Changes

After being a last minute addition in 2024, the Indy 500 will go back to having its fixed and open setup races in different weeks after following the majority of other oval special events that run both their fixed and open setup races throughout the same week. The next major shake-up is the Nürburgring 24, which moves from its May date to coincide with the real life event's June date.

Additionally in the N24, the GR86 has made way for the brand new BMW M2 CS Racing, introduced in the 2025 Season 1 build and initially, TCR had also been removed from the event. But after feedback from the community, the touring car class will remain in the N24, although they possibly may not be part of next year's Nürburgring Endurance Championship. With all that being said though, touring car fans will be very interested in the event that takes place the week before the N24.

Also introduced in the 2025 Season 1 build, Thruxton is a high-speed circuit that hosts British Touring Cars. In what may be considered a very absurd combination, there is going to be a four hour long race in touring cars at the track, which can be done as a team but also solo. We extend our wishes to the brave souls who attempt it on their own, as their arms will most likely be jelly at the end of it.

Next up, the Fuji 8 Hours is out. The event replaced the Suzuka 10 Hours a couple of years ago, and many people bemoaned the switch to the less favoured Japanese circuit for an all-GT3 event. Now, it is back at Suzuka for a 1,000km race to reflect the real-life return of the event. Speaking of 1,000km events, there will be something for the fans of the older sportscars.

The Algarve circuit will play host to an endurance event using the HPD ARX 01c open cockpit prototype, the Aston Martin DBR9 and Corvette C6.R GT1 cars and the Ford GT GT2. Finally, the last new additions are for the oval crowd, Dale Earnhardt, Jr.'s charity event with Mini Stock cars at Iowa Speedway and the Firecracker 400, a 160-lap race around Daytona in the '87 NASCAR cars.
