Despite Forza Horizon 5’s third anniversary approaching later this year, the monthly updates aren’t slowing down. This week sees the new Hidden Horizons update (season 38) bring several new cars to the Horizon Festival, a new chaotic multiplayer game mode, and a massive maze take over the stadium.
Joining the Evo III GSR is another rally-inspired Japanese AWD car: the 2022 Subaru WRX. Sporting a 2.4-litre engine, the latest WRX produces 271 horsepower, allowing it to sprint from 0–60 mph in around 5.7 seconds. You can win the sports sedan in the week two Autumn Festival Playlist by earning 20 points.
Next is the 1991 Toyota Chaser GT Twin Turbo, awarded in the week three Winter playlist for achieving 20 points. As the name implies, this Chase variant has a 2.5-litre turbo engine rated at 276 horsepower. Its limited-slip rear differential should make it fun and engaging to drive around Mexico.
Finally, we have the 2013 Volvo C30 Polestar. Before becoming a standalone car manufacturer, Polestar specialised in turning unassuming Volvos into race cars. Limited to 250 examples, the C30 Polestar packs a 2.5-litre five-cylinder uprated to 250 horsepower, while an aerodynamic body kit gives it a more aggressive appearance. It can be unlocked during week four’s Spring Festival Playlist at 20 points.
At the end of the season, players can also unlock two returning cars: the 2010 Nissan Tsuru ( 80 points) and Nissan Safari Turbo (160 points).
As a bonus, all players will receive the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Jordan Luka 3 Motorsport Edition inspired by Luka 3 sneakers as a free gift car.
Hiders will then have a mad dash to the final destination before the time runs out while trying to evade five Seeker players trying to stop them. New Accolades and Badges can also be earned in the Hide & Seek mode.
There is a limited selection of cars in this mode, so you can't enter any car you own. Hiders can access one of four off-roaders and pickups, such as the Jeep Wrangler and Ford F-150 Raptor. Meanwhile, Seekers will attempt to stop them in various cars, from the BMW M4 GTS to the agile Ariel Nomad off-roader.
In addition, you can also unlock the Camo Race Suit for your avatar for the ‘Expedition’ Photo Challenge in the first Festival Playlist week.
After Hidden Horizons, the next season will celebrate the 1990s, with the ‘Back to the ‘90s’ starting on October 10 bringing new cars from this iconic decade, badges, and a new collectable.
