As Formula One packs up to leave Sin City, Max Verstappen leaves the USA as the 2024 World Champion. It was a year when the Dutchman did not always have the best car and used every trick in the book to get ahead of his main rival, Lando Norris. Max Verstappen, 4-time World Drivers Champion
With Red Bull having a much more difficult mid-season stint compared to their closest rivals in McLaren and Ferrari, the team from Milton Keynes will be looking to come out of the blocks in 2025 as they did this year, with dominance and, more importantly, with Verstappen at the top of his game.
Close racing and chaos in Las Vegas
Battles were scattered up and down the field throughout the race distance. The Ferraris traded places throughout the Grand Prix, but the overall action level was lacking compared to the highlight of the season last time out in Brazil.
With Charles Leclerc's outburst on the radio and general lack of pace, Sainz had the upper hand on his Monegasque teammate, putting his scarlet car on the bottom step of the podium behind the two Silver Arrows. However, despite another different podium, some community members did not hesitate to express their opinions about the Las Vegas Grand Prix as an event and a race circuit.
Sergio Perez, Las Vegas 2024
The long DRS straight was the primary location for overtaking in the Grand Prix. However, drivers such as Red Bull's Sergio Perez managed to pull off some fantastic moves through the tight, twisting corners of the Las Vegas street circuit. The Mexican managed to overtake the battling Haas of Kevin Magnussen and the glitter-bombed Liam Lawson to move up the order from the pitiful qualifying result of 15th the Red Bull driver managed on Saturday.
The Constructor's championship is still up for grabs, with Ferrari and Red Bull both pushing current leaders, McLaren, very hard. A strong finish for all three teams and their respective drivers is a necessity.

Max Verstappen Claims Fourth Word Drivers Championship
Despite a quiet race for the now four-time world champion, Max Verstappen crossed the line ahead of Lando Norris to make the Dutchman champion in 2024. A hard-fought year, only topped by his challenging 2021 campaign. Verstappen did not always have the best car, but he has wrapped up the championship with two races to go.Max Verstappen, 4-time World Drivers Champion

Close Racing Continues
The very small driver gap was an apparent factor, especially in qualifying. Just 0.750 seconds separated Nico Hülkenberg, in 9th, from George Russell's pole lap. The field was competitive over one lap, and that thankfully carried over into the race on Sunday.Close racing and chaos in Las Vegas
