High-end sim racing hardware manufacturer Simucube has been releasing plenty of teasers for a new piece of hardware. A new more budget-friendly take on their famous ActivePedal known now as the ActivePedal Pro.
Simucube as a brand is known for high-end equipment whose prices make most of our eyes water. However, their importance to the industry can not be understated and new hardware is always exciting from innovators from teams like Simucube. The unveiling of this new ActivePedal shows the company's dedication to their innovation and technology as well as its existing product lines.
The new Active Pedal Pro is a take on Simucube's famous pedal set at a lower price, allowing a new audience to access their hardware. Do not expect the price tag to be considered 'Budget', however.
The pedal has an endless amount of configurations that, like its bigger brothers, have multiple presets available in the Simucube software for GT cars, formula cars and rally cars. These presets help sim racers get an immediate feeling of competence from their new equipment and give them a solid base to start fine-tuning their braking setups.
The main differences between the ActivePedal Pro and the older ActivePedal lineups are the travel on the pedal itself as well as the physical number of moving and electrical components. The pedal simply is a stripped-down, more basic version of their current ActivePedal lineup. The pedal will be on sale 10th October 2024 for €1,402.
Simucube is dedicated to its product line with innovation on its current products, which is good to see. However, some in the community are disappointed by the lack of a significant price drop. The pedal will still be considered a high-end option for the large majority of sim racers.
With the ActivePedal family growing, the original ActivePedal is now known as the ActivePedal Ultimate and has had its capacity increased through a software update to allow for 170kg of force.
Let us know down below what you think about the new Simucube ActivePedal Pro and the adjustments to the ActivePedal Range!
