High-end sim racing hardware manufacturer Simucube has been releasing plenty of teasers for a new piece of kit - but what could it be?
Simucube as a brand is known for high-end equipment that makes most of our eyes water at the price tags that come with it. However, their importance to the industry can not be understated and new hardware is always exciting. The unveiling for this new piece of equipment is set for 10/10/2024 at 6 pm CEST or 3 pm UTC.
There are many different theories behind what Simucube could be bringing to the proverbial party, one popular opinion is that it is a new wheelbase that will slot in a slightly more budget-friendly category.
Simucube's main line of wheelbase is currently the Simucube 2 Sport, Pro and Ultimate versions each with 17nm, 25nm and 32nm respectively. Could this be an entry point into the 5-10nm area of the market?
Outside of wheelbase rumours, the other main focus has been on a new pedal set to either fit below or above the current Active pedal that Simucube offers. This active pedal was the first of its kind with the the level of technology involved, initially unveiled in late 2021.
If this is a new pedal set or individual pedal, what would you want it to be? Would you like to see a full set of three pedals for less than the price of the Active pedal? Or could it be an FFB shifter, as other sim racers have speculated?
