The Board of Directors of the Digital Bros Group has approved the latest Financial Statement as of June 2024, consequently condemning Assetto Corsa EVO's early access to January 2025.

Assetto Corsa EVO is one of the most hotly anticipated sim racing titles of 2024, but it looks like fans of the franchise are going to have to wait for the new year to try Assetto Corsa EVO.

Unfortunately, this is not the first delay for the title. The original release was rumoured to be Spring, 2024 which was then delayed to late 2024. Following this further delay, the game is looking like it is being refined and not just pushed out to the market, which if you look a the financial situation of Digital Bros, is really good to see considering the less-than-ideal situation.

If you want to trawl through the latest financial reports that come alongside the Assetto Corsa EVO delay, check out the latest Digital Bro's Board of Directors post on their website.

Assetto Corsa EVO is vitally important for the sim racing landscape, and this delay will not come as great news for a lot of sim racers. However, it is great to see that the team behind Assetto Corsa EVO are not being forced to release the game despite it not being ready. Look to Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown as an example of how badly a launch can go if your game is not ready to hit the market.

It was incredibly naive to believe ACE would be released this year, when there hasn't been a single video tease of the game. And if it's gonna be released next year, it will still be raw. I will probably ignore this until 2026, it needs time.

Seems a bit presumptious.
Perhaps ACE is delayed because the game in its current state is so far away from even early access content and quality that a 2024 release is simply not considered an option by anyone involved.

This is great news. Now for a Christmas present, release all of the missing tracks and correct whatever update 1.09 did to obliterate the driving feel in ACC and we will wait until 4th quarter 2025.

So I understand EBIDA, Margins, Basis points...But I sure as heck am not a finance guy.
Trying to decide if the delay is financially related or if its something else, and the likely scape goat is money.
Either way Im excited to see what this thing actually turns out to be. And by all means, take your time. I'll wait patiently! As long as you dont hand me another LMU experience (we all went over this the other day Im not trying to re-hash), I'll gladly wait till next fall if thats what it takes.
Watch that happen now, if it does I'll take all the blame lmao!

Someone has to send them the memo that Content Manager exists. EVO will meet expectations on consoles. But on PC, the number of mods available for a 2013 game is literally fantastic. It will undoubtedly be a good game, but it will be difficult to replicate what AC and its community have done. Every day, I'm narrowing down the circle of what I play. Today it's AC with CM, AMS2, and LMU. I can say without fear of being wrong that they meet my personal requirements.

Those are the same three Im down to now. And i do alot of complaining about LMU but the feeling through the wheel is fantastic. AC for the Hardcore stuff, and a ton of AMS2 just because its so damn fun and I dont know why

I have a really bad feeling that when AC Evo is eventually released a lot of people are going to be disappointed due to their expectations being far too high, and it's nothing that Kunos will have done wrong.

I think this title is going to be a victim of the hype surrounding it, not from Kunos, but instead it's the community that's hyped it out of existence.

There is no way that AC Evo will release at the beginning with the same amount of content that AC ultimate has, let alone the 10 or so years of modded content that's been produced, and I think that some people are going to be very annoyed when they realise that AC Evo isn't backwards compatible with the vast library of mods they've collected over the years.

I don't believe it's going to be a bad game by any stretch of the imagination, in fact it's likely that it becomes the genre defining sim for the next decade, but I do think that peoples expectations of it are way higher than what can reasonably be delivered at release.
Exactly! I don't think people who expect backward mod compatibility really understand how AC works. After 10 years of development it's likely that they changed a lot of the physics, the driver model and the way it animates, and who knows what else. Those informations are in the mod folder, so you'd need to actually modify the mod (pun intended) to make it compatible

Exactly. The same happened when ACC came to existence.

People will purchase the Early Access and complain that its not a finished game, why wont my 1 million horded mods work, lol..

AC still very capable in my opinion to continue well into the future

I have been trained up by Bethesda to understand that just because an inrorduction of a work has been made the dates given are normally unrealistic, and the end product isn't what we actually wanted and expected, but the modding community over the years filled most of the gaps...
So with ths in mind, I'm happy to wait and see, maybe not this year maybe not next... but one day, I'll likely play it!

Not really bothered about the delay expected it December so another month or so is not a big deal. Hoping it runs and look better than LMU (major Disapointment) but that wouldn`t be hard tbh.
Not if it's made with UE again.

I think why they don't publish it themselves as in the beginning? They are well known, they know their clients, a better starting point isn't thinkeable. I'm not a pro in publishing software, but to publish it over steam seems easy, why do you need a partner?

Because the publisher is also the owner of the company.

NOOO!
Hope its dont getting worse than this, that Digital Bros group closes down the development of ACE.

close down the studio and throw away a game that is going to bring the money in? A game theyve probably already spent ridiculous money making? not going to happen unless the company is being run by a bunch of morons.
