After months of teasers, BeamNG.drive's new 0.33 update has finally dropped with the debut of the new Gavril MD-Series.
The 0.33 update has been played down dramatically by the BeamNG developers since April this year. However, it appears they have had their community on strings, as this massive update adds a new truck, map updates, a seemingly endless list of additions and QOL changes.
BeamNG has also released a new showreel to their YouTube channel, showing off just how far the sim has come since its debut back in 2013.
Two new configurations for the original Ibishu Pessima.
This American beast is available in both pre and post-facelift variants. There are three cab options with extensive customization possibilities. You can choose from various wheel and tyre variants with several different sizes. There are also specialized configurations for logging, dumping, cargo boxes, ambulances, and tankers.
For those who crave off-road adventure, the Gavril MD-Series offers four dedicated 4WD configurations, two of which uniquely combine the transfer case range box with the gearbox splitter for very low gearing. You may think that is all, but some upfits now include JATO Rockets!

Brand-new Industrial area re-work for West Coast USA.
The island refinery entrances, parking, island sidewalks, and highway toll booths have all received major updates and new models. Smaller bug fixes address issues with unused materials, floating objects, and mesh errors. Plus, Chinatown shops now feature accurate Chinese signage.
Among those is a new, shorter variant of the fifth wheel frame. This more agile configuration has the same amount of power as its older predecessors and is great for lighter loads. Several interesting axle configurations have also been added: Twin-steer, tri-drive and passive steering lift axle, with rather interesting handling characteristics, (lift it before reversing).
For racing enthusiasts, there is also an option for a brand-new V8 engine with up to 3000 HP for loaded-truck drag races.

This final update also brings several new configs, including one with tridem rear suspension, suitable for steel coil transport. A twin-steer dump truck is also making its debut with better manoeuvring. Some existing configurations have also been updated with the addition of more powerful engines, lift axles or twin steer for better handling of heavier loads.
A new track-orientated HBR4 configuration.
A brand-new drag racing system has been implemented, usable both in and outside of missions, with customizable drag race types. The Drag Practice Mode can be entered in freeroam without any loading screen, just approach the stage line and you are away. Additionally, drag nodes have been added to the Flowgraph system, enabling the creation of drag missions anywhere you see fit.

The Drift mission type has also undergone extensive improvements. Scoring and combo systems have been fine-tuned, offering a more balanced and rewarding experience. Several new stunt zones have been added, and it is now also possible to add an unlimited number of stunt zones to Drift challenges.
