With Corsair's acquisition of Endor AG and its sim racing brand Fanatec official, questions about the German HQ and employees remained. A new press release clarifies that the core business will indeed stay in Landshut.
After months of ups and downs, it has become official that Corsair would acquire Endor AG and its sim racing brand Fanatec, with Endor set for liquidation. A set of new press releases confirm that Corsair will also take over the Fanatec sim racing line - which was a given - as part of the Endor acquisition. However, a few more open questions now also have answers.
First and foremost, the current HQ based in Landshut, Germany, will remain the center of operations. "We intend to maintain the core business in Landshut while expanding its position as a world-class product development center for Sim Racing products", states Corsair CEO Andy Paul. As part of this, Corsair also commits to "the existing employess at Endor who manage and operate the Fanatec product line", according to the Endor release.
Paul continues in Corsair's release: "We have been a fan of the Fanatec brand for years, and I am thrilled that we were finally chosen to be the next home for Fanatec products. We intend to use our extensive supply chain and logistics network to reduce operating costs, enhance users' customer service experience, increase sales opportunities, and help the business return to profitability."
The releases also confirm that Fanatec as a brand is not going to go away, which would be similar to how Corsair handled Elgato. The brand is known for its audiovisual equipment and gear that helps video producers and streamers, and was acquired by Corsair in 2018. The brand has remained in place, and Corsair built upon it.
For sim racers already invested in the Fanatec ecosystem, the latter two points should be a relief. Previously, questions about how warranty claims would be handled, as well as concerns regarding future software updates were voiced within the community.

Warranty & Updates Will Continue
This looks to be the intention for Fanatec as well. The Endor release states that "Corsair plans to make significant investments in the Fanatec brand, its products, and increasing worldwide availability through our channels. All current and future Fanatec customers will benefit from the world-class support from Corsair, including warranty and software updates going forward".For sim racers already invested in the Fanatec ecosystem, the latter two points should be a relief.
