EA Sports and Codemasters have announced F1 24's Season 3 to be deployed with the update to v1.10 - including the 2024 Formula 2 grid.
As the real-life title battle in Formula One looks set to gather more steam each race, fans can now also look forward to racing the final step on the development ladder below the pinnacle: With Season 3 and update v1.10, Formula 2 cars debut in F1 24 on September 16.
With them, up-and-coming drivers like Oliver Bearman (who contests his second Grand Prix in Azerbaijan this weekend, this time for Haas), the recently-promoted Franco Colapinto (who replaces Logan Sargeant for the rest of the season at Williams), or youngster Kimi Antonelli, who is set to take the seat of Lewis Hamilton at Mercedes in 2025.
Meanwhile, a new race scenario covers Bearman's F1 debut with Ferrari in Saudi Arabia, filling in for an appendicits-stricken Carlos Sainz. Completing the scenario rewards players with cosmetic items such as Bearman's helmet from that Grand Prix.
Furthermore, players can also tackle the Jack Doohan career challenge, trying to get the young Australian into an F1 seat - just like he will make the jump to Alpine in 2025 in real Formula One. Three episodes grant players three tiers of rewards.
Part 2 of Season 3, starting on October 25, will then highlight the career of Ayrton Senna. The iconic Brazilian will be the focal point of "special challenges that touch several moments in Senna's illustrious career" - although we wonder what that will look like exactly, as no classic content is present in F1 24.
