If you have not taken Gran Turismo 7 for a spin yet, ‘My First Gran Turismo’ will let players sample a free trial version later this year as part of PlayStation’s 30th anniversary celebrations.
It has been over two years since Gran Turismo 7 launched on PlayStation 5 and 4. But if you still have not tried it yet, ‘My First Gran Turismo’ will let you sample Sony’s flagship racing game in a “free trial version” designed to “attract diverse players of all skill levels.”
As for the content, details are scarce. It is not clear yet which cars and tracks My First Gran Turismo will include, although the accompanying artwork suggests the Lamborghini Countach, which first appeared in the 2009 Gran Turismo PSP spin-off, will be part of the roster.
Considering the link to the PlayStation’s 30th anniversary, My First Gran Turismo will likely focus on iconic cars from the original Gran Turismo like the Pennzoil-liveried Nissan GT-R, Dodge Viper GTS, and Honda NSX. We may also be revisiting classic circuits like Trial Mountain, Deep Forest, and High Speed Ring, but the car and tracks are not confirmed yet.
Whether the GT Café or online GT Sport mode will be accessible in the free sample also remains to be seen. Either way, My First Gran Turismo will hopefully help introduce new players to Gran Turismo 7.
The announcement of My First Gran Turismo follows GT7’s most recent update, which marked the return of the Eiger-Norwand mountain circuit for the first time since GT6 and added five new cars. It also broke the physics with hilarious results. After Polyphony skipped last month, Gran Turismo 7’s next update will hopefully arrive later this month.
Which cars and tracks are you hoping to see in My First Gran Turismo? Let us know in the comments below and join the discussion on our Gran Turismo forums!
