Just as the Formula One summer break enters its final week, F1 24 update 1.8 lines up on the grid. The patch will be deployed on Monday, August 19.
Formula One fans only have to wait until August 25 until the series springs back into action with the 2024 Dutch Grand Prix. Ahead of round 15 of the season, F1 24 will see a new patch deployed, updating the game to version 1.8. For the most part, it includes bug fixes, but also additional support for hardware.
The latter concerns MOZA wheel bases in particular. According to the patch notes, support for more wheel bases will be added when used with the ES Steering Wheel on Xbox. Remember that compatibility with Microsoft's console is determined by the wheel rather than the wheel base, so from MOZA's hardware catalogue, only the ES Steering Wheel will work as it is the only Xbox-compatible wheel of the manufacturer.
Another welcome adjustment concerns off-track areas. In recent weeks, videos of world record runs in F1 24 have emerged, for example at Portimao where a sub-1-minute run was shown - but the car was hardly on the actual track itself during it.
