The highly anticipated next instalment in the CarX series, CarX Street, is due to hit Steam on the 29th of August.
Many of you may be familiar with CarX Drift, an arcade title that launched the CarX franchise into the spotlight with a mixture of simulation and arcade gameplay. CarX Street is the next instalment in the franchise and focuses on street racing alongside the original games' main discipline of drifting.
As the player, you will become part of StreetNET, a unique network for underground racers. Earn respect among network members, rise to the elite, and build your car collection to your preferences.
The new release trailer is the typical 'Need For Speed' bad boy-style trailer: Lots of slow and dark scenes with illegal street racing and a dramatic voiceover. It is what is expected, especially for the younger audience. However, the trailer does show some of the unlicensed car list and the level of vehicle customization on offer.
In the new announcement trailer, many incredible cars are showcased. The standouts for us are the HardTuned-sponsored Mitsubishi EVO 9 and the lime green and white Porsche 911 - or, well, their look-alikes.
Toyota Supra Mk5 drifting in the Autocross style events.
Apart from the street racing, there is an homage to the original game as well. There will be two separate drifting modes available in the game, one set autocross-style in a car park, and one in a more competitive racing format.

CarX Street: What To Expect
The main attraction for car enthusiasts is the level of vehicle customization on offer. In the original CarX Drift, the customization ended up being more entertaining than the gameplay for a lot of people. This got so popular that lobbies for "Static Car Meets" started to fill up quicker than some of the drifting lobbies. In the new announcement trailer, many incredible cars are showcased.
