Like its predecessors, F1 24 lets fans live out their dreams of creating and running their own Formula One team. Some OverTake community members took it even further - here are a few of our favorite F1 24 MyTeam mods.

It is perhaps not that much of a stretch to suggest that F1 24 is not really setting the world of racing games alight. With no driver or track change from the previous game, all that F1 24 has going for it on the surface is the rebranding of Alfa Romeo and AlphaTauri to Stake/KICK/Sauber and 'V-CARB'.

There is now the ability to drive as pre-existing drivers in a career mode, so if you wanted to get a head start on Lewis Hamilton's move to Ferrari, you can. But what still continues to be perhaps the main attraction from the F1 game is the MyTeam career mode - introduced back in F1 2020 - in which you field the 11th team on the grid.

Each year, OverTake community members create in-depth packs to add their favorite brands to the grid, as our download section continues to show. So with the MyTeam career remaining prominent the default in-game liveries for the mode coming with certain limitations, we had a look and picked five excellent MyTeam liveries that players might want to race in their career modes.

Audi

If you are not that keen on the interim branding of Sauber after the Alfa Romeo partnership ended after 2023, you are perhaps really eager to fast forward to 2026 when Audi enters F1. The team have already signed Nico Hülkenberg ahead of the rebranding.

The livery looks incredibly alike the Audi showcase livery with added brands affiliated with Audi over the years for that extra immersion. Image: @jonniedesigns

Until then, maybe this mod from @jonniedesigns could help get your Audi fix. It is not just the Audi livery that jonniedesigns has done, but also the emblem with the Audi logo, driver suits, teamwear, the pit garage and even a custom helmet.

We still do not know the identity of Hülkenberg's future teammate at Audi, so providing you are able to coax him away from Haas, it will be the closest you can get to running an official Audi team in F1 24.

APXGP

You may have been seeing a duo of black and gold cars running around at Grands Prix over the past year, and that is because there is a movie being made about F1. It is directed by Joseph Kosinski of Top Gun Maverick fame, and will star Brad Pitt as seasoned racer Sonny Hayes who is returning to Formula One after many years away from racing. His mission is to mentor rookie prodigy racer Joshua 'Noah' Pearce, portrayed by Damson Idris.

The team they both race for in the movie is called Apex Grand Prix, with specially modified Formula 2 cars ran in conjunction with Mercedes and junior formula team Carlin driving to shoot on-track scenes at several F1 circuits. Now you can race as the F1 movie's official 11th team by downloading this mod by @Kastrel.

Once again, there is no stone left unturned when it comes to the full immersion of APXGP into F1 24, with driver suits, pit garages and helmets all in the appropriate branding. Unfortunately however, no scans of Pitt and Idris as the two drivers could be included. That being said, we would not be surprised if it happened in next year's game.

The F1 movie releases in June 2025, just in time for next year's F1 game to launch most likely - or possibly slightly after the game. Perhaps to build hype for the movie, players may be able to hire Hayes and Pearce for their MyTeam career modes alongside icons of Formula One history. For now though, picking the closest player avatar to them is the next best thing.

Andretti-Cadillac

The fallout from Formula One Management flat out rejecting the possibility of having an actual 11th team on the grid with Andretti has been rather ugly. Luckily, the F1 game can at least provide players with a "what if" scenario if they want to stick it to FOM, you can go for the next best thing - fielding the planned Andretti-Cadillac entry in your F1 24 MyTeam career mode.

Once again it is the work of @jonniedesigns who brings the Andretti-Cadillac dream to life with this mod here. The livery resembles the one ran in IndyCar by Andretti driver Colton Herta, who won the most recent race as of writing this article in Toronto.

If you are a patriotic American and wanted to field a homegrown hero, your best bet would be to sign F2 driver Jak Crawford who currently sits fifth in the standings with a win in the Barcelona feature race. Or, of course, Logan Sargeant, who is without a seat for 2025 as he just lost his Williams drive to Carlos Sainz, Jr.

Meanwhile, the real Andretti F1 dream may not be over. There were suggestions within F1 that Andretti should be looking to buy out a pre-existing team rather than enter as an 11th team. With rumors of Alpine looking to sell the team - which the Renault group rebuked - this could appear to be a possibility.

Porsche

Another famous marque that had long been rumoured to be entering F1 with the 2026 regulations is Porsche. With successes across sportscars including overall pole position at Le Mans this year and also former F1 driver Pascal Wehrlein becoming Formula E World Champion with them, it would feel right seeing Porsche in F1 again. Its final attempt to date happened in 1991 as an engine supplier for Footwork - which lasted for a grand total of six races before the team reverted to Ford Cosworth engines for the rest of the season.

Back to the present day, though. Unfortunately after discussions with both Red Bull and McLaren, it would appear a Porsche entry is no longer happening. But at least we can instead live out our dreams of seeing Porsche in F1 through the F1 24 MyTeam career, and we have plenty of choices for liveries in our download section. The one we have picked is this one by @Alkie38.

If Porsche fielded a team, TAG Heuer would most certainly be one of their primary sponsors. Image: @Alkie38

The TAG Heuer sponsorship mixed with the traditional Porsche colour scheme just feels right, and the question would become who would be the most appropriate teammate to hire. Well, it might just be who Audi have signed, Nico Hülkenberg. Back in 2015, he was part of the team that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans overall with Porsche - the final driver to date to do so while being a full-time F1 driver at the same time.

Alternatively, you have a range of famous Porsche colour schemes from @Racingcar3, including a stock Porsche livery, the Gulf colours seen on the iconic 917K in 1970 and 1971, and one even resembling the blue and yellow 917/30 Can-Am car among others.

Toro Rosso

We started this list with one of the teams that rebranded for this year with what they will be in the future, now we do an inverse for the final entry on the list: VISA CashApp RB, an impractical name by any standard following Red Bull's decision to no longer have their Faenza-based B-Team being named after their clothing brand AlphaTauri.

What was wrong with going back to calling it Toro Rosso? After buying the Minardi team, the condition left to them by team principal Paul Stoddart was to keep it based in Italy, and so they just took the name Red Bull and translated it to Italian. The team kept the name from 2006 to 2019.

Once again it is @Alkie38 who answers our pleading, recreating the livery used by the team in their last three seasons with this creation.

Move aside 'V-CARB', your older relative is coming through! Image: @Alkie38

On a personal note, I do love the colour of this livery but I always wished Toro Rosso retained the same extravagant bull design that the team ran throughout the majority of their time in F1. The perfect Toro Rosso livery would be the 2017-2019 primary blue colour, the bull design from 2006-2008 and the red following the gold at the front from 2010-2011.

Also, do not fear of breaking immersion by running a third Red Bull team in your career mode. With the number of RB-backed drivers ready for F1, it sort of makes sense. Plenty of them will be available to choose when picking a teammate for your F1 24 MyTeam career mode.

Great... we can now create teams , yet you can't feel great FFB or physics. I'll stick with AMS2 if I want to feel like I'm driving real formula cars. The upcoming 1.6 version feels unbelievably good.

Why using an expensive F1 game for this, if we can use a much cheaper sim (AC) even if you buy Content Manager, Custom Shader Patch and SOL/Pure and the latest VRC F1 2024 car? All these together is still cheaper than the EA/Codemasters F1 game, and in use, no comparison. The AC combination with the VRC car has much more setup options and realistic driving / FFB. And user skinns are as good as unlimited. So easy choice for me.
