Win a Starter Pack for RaceRoom and come say hi!

Special live stream announcement and an opportunity to win a Starter Pack for RaceRoom. This week, RaceDepartment has been hosting a ranked GTR 4 server at Brands Hatch Indy and what a combination it is!!

Blink and you’ll miss it with lap times under 50 seconds. A tight twisty circuit, with jeopardy at Paddock Hill, last minute braking into Druids, and understeer galore out of McLaren leading onto Clarks Hill.

RaceDepartment reached out to Sector3 studios a few weeks ago, with the hope of hosting a ranked server and the lovely people at Sector3 were more than happy to oblige.

All we had to do was pick a track and car combination, which was relatively easy, as we love blasting around Brands Hatch Indy (also had to pick a car and track combo accessible to many sim racers).

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Brands Hatch, it’s located in the United Kingdom, just south of Dartford; a few minutes’ drive off the M25. The track has two variants, the Indy circuit (1.2 miles) and the GP circuit 2.4 miles).

The venue is almost 100 years old, hosting its first official race in 1926. Though prior it was used by motor cyclists who; practised, raced, and ran time trials on the dirt roads.

A tarmac surface was added in the 1950s and in the 1960s, 70s, and 80s - Brands Hatch hosted the British Grand Prix every other year.

These days Brands Hatch, hosts BTCC, F3, British Superbikes, and the British Truck Racing Championship.

To race at Brands Hatch in RaceRoom, you will need to purchase either the track, or the starter pack. Buying packs generally works out cheaper in the long run, with Brands Hatch available for £2.54 and the Starter Pack available for £8.50.

For £8.50, you get the following in the Starter Pack:
  • Audi TT Cup
  • Tatuus F4
  • NSU TTS
  • Lotus Evora GT4
  • BMW M6 GT3
  • BMW M235i Racing
  • Mercedes E190 Evo II
  • Audi RS 5 DTM 2020
  • Honda CIVIC TCR
  • Porsche 911 Carrera Cup (964)
  • Brands Hatch Indy
  • Circuit Zandvoort
  • HockenheimRing
  • Laguna Seca
  • Suzuka Circuit
If you’ve never driven RaceRoom, it is free to download, with a limited number of tracks and cars. We particularly appreciate that you can test drive each car before you part with your hard-earned cash.

Why not join me tonight at 18:00 BST, 19:00 CEST, 20:00 EEST where I’ll be tackling Brands Hatch Indy and it’s an opportunity to win a Starter Pack so you can join in on the fun.

Have you sponsored it for more than one week or does this end with tomorrow's weekly server refresh? If so people only have this evening left to try your server.

Good initiative though, we need more people to join in with the Raceroom ranked servers. They really are a bit special, in terms of reliably offering close, clean, racing. Deserves more success and is brilliant value for money.

Well done on the first broadcast. I wasn't planning on any racing tonight, but enjoyed a couple of casual races in the KTM GT4.

As I'm subscribed to the RD Youtube page, notification of the broadcast popped up, so I thought I'd drop in.

I can barely race while on 'TS/Discord' chat, let alone trying to Drive...present...read chat, and keep chatting enthusiasticly.

Thanks, I tried my best.

I want to thank everyone who dropped by last night, thank you for being a fantastic community and audience.

Sim racing fans can on occasion be quite brutal, and to be honest I was incredibly nervous!

I didn't need to be though, you guys were great and I can't wait for the next one.
