The 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps see the green flag this weekend, and Fanatec has unveiled a new wheel rim for the occasion: Meet the Fanatec Clubsport Wheel Rim GT3 Endurance.

As a sponsor of the GT World Challenge Europe, the series' premier race at the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps has to be a special occasion for Fanatec as well - particularly for the 100th anniversary. While the hardware manufacturer had recently been in the headlines for its supposed takeover by Corsair, it now showed a new piece of gear.

The Fanatec Clubsport Wheel Rim GT3 Endurance makes its debut at Spa this weekend. It is designed to work with the Podium Button Module Endurance, which means that you could use the rim without it as well by simply attaching a Podium Hub - but with the rim featuring holes for the buttons and switches of the Module, it would look slightly odd.

Coupled with the Endurance module, the rim would not look out of place in a modern GT3 car, as the name already implies. The rim's diameter measures 318 mm, and it comes with rubber grips that supposedly have a similar feel to those on the Podium Steering Wheel BMW M4 GT3.

Exclusively Available At 24H Spa - For Now

For now, getting your hands on the Fanatec Clubsport Wheel Rim GT3 Endurance requires you to be fast - and on-site at Spa. A limited amount of 100 rims will be available for purchase at the track, all numbered and sporting the logo of the event.

According to Fanatec, fans simply need to "find a Fanatec staff member and ask to buy a Wheel Rim." Beware, however: You need a Fanatec account for this, as the company handles warranty and service through it. The rim will not be shipped to you, so you have to take it home with you - but we would imagine that this is what sim racers prefer anyway.

The Fanatec Clubsport Wheel Rim GT3 Endurance costs €129.95 After the Spa batch is gone, the plan is for the rim to be sold regularly as well in the Fanatec shop.

I always saw those spidery button assembly's on the Fanatec website. Now I know what they are for and how they are intended to be used.

Mhh.. I mean it's "something" at last, but I'm really missing a thumbwheel addon for the podium hub.
"ATM - Advanced Thumbwheel Module"? :D

You need to buy a podium hub, endurance module, advanced paddles module and the rim.

Compared to the Simagic GT Neo, it's not the GT Wheel I had hoped for from Fanatec.

Im glad they sorted their shipping issues :).

I have this podium hub and endurance button box but i will still probably not get it. My existing Porsche wheel with this.stuff is far too heavy and this will be as well.

Wow those guys at Fanatec know how to shoot themself in the foot, this is the most stupid business idea of the year so far, why didn't just make a whole new wheel with this desing for around US$ 450??

Seems they've resorted to copying the third-party market like MZW...interesting decision.

How about some brand new packages instead?

What a joke and shame. I would pay 400 - 450 for a real new gt3 rim 30 cm. And then you offer this ? Come on.
