On June 4, the OverTake office opens its doors for its first-ever Community Launch Event, with the MOZA R3 Bundle kicking things off. There is more to look forward to in Cologne, however.

Trying brand-new sim racing hardware on its launch day is not the norm, so we are happy to have our community come over to our office to do just that. As MOZA Racing launches its R3 Bundle on June 4, you will ge the opportunity to check out the new set as well as other MOZA hardware in person.

Five rigs will be ready for you to get your hands-on experience in, both on PC and Xbox titles – MOZA’s R3 is the manufacturer’s first wheel base that comes with compatibility for Microsoft’s console.

To properly put the selection of MOZA hardware through its paces, you can get behind the wheel in EA Sports WRC, Le Mans Ultimate, iRacing, Assetto Corsa and Assetto Corsa Competizione – the latter four on PC only - on the sim racing side of things. Plus, we thought of the virtual truck drivers out there as well: EuroTruck Simulator 2 will also be playable – of course on the MOZA TSW Truck Wheel.

Five Rigs, YouTube Creators, Competition & Giveaway

The MOZA hardware on our five rigs will range from their entry-level kit to the more powerful offerings like the R12 or R21 wheel bases. Of course, this being its launch event, the spotlight will be on the R3 Bundle, which offers a full set of wheel, wheel base, and pedals (and a table clamp!) to get you on track in no time.

Aside from seat time, you can look forward to meeting fellow sim racers as well as YouTube racing creators LPN05 and rAii from Pixelhelden, friendly competition including prizes and a giveaway – and food, of course. Naturally, the OverTake team will be on-site as well, so we are excited to meet you at our office already!

The first of our Community Launch Event takes place on June 4, 2024, and our doors will be open from 14:00 to 20:00 CEST. To attend, simply sign up for a free ticket using the link below – then, you will receive an email with more info on where and how to find us. We are located a short walk from a train station and have parking spaces on-site as well.

The MOZA R3 Bundle

MOZA Racing continues the trend of increasing Direct Drive accessibility with the launch of its R3 Bundle. Coming with the R3 wheel base, a table clamp, the MOZA ES Steering Wheel, and a two-pedal set of MOZA SR-P Lite Pedals, it is an entry-level set that retails for €439.

Since founding its sim racing line in 2021, MOZA has quickly established itself as a manufacturer covering the entry-level up to high-end hardware. Their products make use of their founders’ experience in the automotive industry, both for hardware and software offerings. The company has been researching and developing powertrains, electric motors, and chassis controls in this sector since its founding in 2012, and is also known for its camera gimbals.

The R3 Bundle is the first MOZA product to feature Xbox compatibility, marking the manufacturer’s first foray into the world of console racing.

LMU and iRacing would be PC only, not AC / ACC which are on Xbox?

If I were closer this looks like a fun day out - fortunately for you it's too far :(

Means that only the PC versions of AC and ACC will be available to avoid confusion about their console versions being potentially playable. Changed it to be a bit more precise though :)

this time around there was no other choice, but we will keep that in mind for the next one, to make it easier :)
We would like to build up on this and do more "small scale" community events to try out new hardware or even software (already got something in the pipeline for that!)

Do you prefer licensed hardware?

  • Yes for me it is vital

  • Yes, but only if it's a manufacturer I like

  • Yes, but only if the price is right

  • No, a generic wheel is fine

  • No, I would be ok with a replica
