Console racers had to have a lot of patience in the past when it came to Assetto Corsa Competizione updates. It was not too long ago that PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players had to wait months until they could get their hands on new content and features, in some cases.

Recently, however, the gap between PC and console releases has shrunk. When the latest DLC and update launched on PC in January, questions regarding the ACC GT2 Pack on consoles immediately started to pop up. Now, we have an answer: Just about a month after its initial launch, console sim racers get to enjoy the new GT2 cars.

ACC GT2 Pack: Consoles Also Receive Red Bull Ring

With the new cars, the Red Bull Ring also comes with the ACC GT2 Pack for consoles. We have tested both the cars and the new circuit when they first released, so if you want to get up to speed on what to expect, check out our article or the video below. Additionally, we have assembled the full car list for the DLC, including a few stats for each car.

Even though the GT2 moniker would imply that the class sits above the omnipresent GT3, which is Assetto Corsa Competizione‘s main focus, this is not the case. In fact, this is a reference to the cars’ additional power compared to the GT3s, but they are still slower due to their aerodynamics producing less downforce. As a result, GT2 sits somewhere in between GT3 and GT4.

Three weeks for a gap between PC release and console release. Hey the console community will be happy if they decide to shorten that gap even further for the Nordschleife release.

this is probably the best sim you can get on the console.
I agree with you, overall there's not many actual sims on console anyway. Not making fun of console, I'm pointing out that ACC (and AC) doesn't get anywhere near the level of attention from gamers on consoles as compared to PC, as shown by how little replies any RD post about ACC on console gets. Just doesn't seem as popular on console compared to PC, by like a wide margin. If y'all love it on console that's awesome, ACC is awesome on any platform. Same can't be said for AC tho

Just a note, played acc on xbox last night and alongside the gt2 cars they've added the full 2023 season option and liveries for the gt3 cars to bring the game completely in line with the pc version
