It is the breaking news of F1: Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton will leave Mercedes at the end of 2024 to join Ferrari in 2025 "on a multi-year contract."
Confirmed by Mercedes and Ferrari, Hamilton will join the Scuderia from 2025 and become teammate of Charles Leclerc.
He also emphasized that he would be 100 % committed going into his last season with Mercedes and that he wanted "to finish on a high together" with the team.
The evening then saw the official confirmation of the mega deal by the Scuderia Ferrari.
The switch to Ferrari means new territory for Hamilton. Throughout his Formula 1 career, the Briton has always raced with Mercedes engines. From 2007 to 2012 for McLaren, since 2013 for the works team, Hamilton has won seven driver's world championship titles and achieved 103 race victories.

Because indeed only a few hours after the news, the first Ferrari SF-23 reskin with #44, helmet, gloves and suit in Hamilton style was released for AC!

SkySports were the first to report this sensation Thursday morning.
