F1 2021 updated to version 1.05

F1 2021 The Game Updated.jpg
Codemasters’ latest installment of the F1 series has been updated to version 1.05 and has received a wide array of fixes but has not addressed the controversial curb related issues.

F1 2021 on PC and Playstation has moved to version 1.05. Currently, this update has been deployed only on PC and Playstation consoles, but Xbox users should receive the update shortly.

The update focuses mainly on mitigating issues that were causing the game to crash and Codemasters has made no mention in the notes about the curb issues we’ve seen lately from various social media accounts. Many users have posted videos of their cars being launched while driving over often imperceptible bumps with the car driving within track limits. This has created a split in the community, as many of the bumps only affect players when very wide, uncommon nearing unrealistic racing lines are taken. These unusually wide lines are not so wide that the game voids the lap, however, prompting some users to demand a fix while others encourage simply using racing lines more like what we see in real life.

For now, F1 2021 users will need to be content with improved stability. Be sure to let us know in the comments below whether you’re enjoying F1 2021.

A bit underwellming considering the many problems people have had with FFB not working, career settings changing randomly etc. Hopefully those gets sorted soon...
Yeah I stopped playing the game as after 5 minutes I realise that my wheel gets off centre, and it gets gradually worse, where the wheel centres very far to the left, meaning if I held the wheel straight I'll swerve right and into the wall.
Really annoying and is borderline unplayable for me. I only have this issue in F1 games and in F1 2021 this issue is still there, only worse than before!

Not holding my breath though, they're yet to patch bugs from F1 2018!

thats the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard.....if we cant be creative in a "video game" then is there a point to even play sims on PC? we might be better off being real drivers on the race track.....

Not sure why you are sim racing, but I do because I cannot afford to be a real driver on a real track, and I am looking for the closest experience I can find to that. (This is a general response, not F1 2021 related, I don't have it yet, but I played and enjoyed the previous games.)

:geek: I don't want to speak for Tahzib, but for my part I think it is RIDICULOUS to be forced to ride on a perfect trajectory so as not to feel abnormal effects on the road.
If I decide to ride quietly out of the race or to change course for all kinds of reasons (overtaking for example) and to feel ridiculous effects by passing more to the left or more to the right of the perfect trajectory I do not have to feel any abnormal physical effects, are we talking about simulation or arcade games? We're still on a simracers site here, aren't we? Besides, I don't know why I'm writing here, I don't like this arcade game at all. :poop: :D:whistling: .... It's a joke, don't be angry! ;)
After everyone has their own tastes and also maybe I misunderstood your words (I am not bilingual in English, I am Belgian man, i speak french, hello from France where I live, good day to all and Good Races Gentlemen!) :)

Of course you are better of being a real driver on a racetrack. So off you go...

Seems like I am not missing much by not getting this again, another bug filled, incomplete addition to the series, it happens every year even though it is always hyped up as the best version yet.

between f1 2018-f1 2020 i got 400+ hours. imho f1 series is best when playing alone to simulate a career or season. mods greatly enhancing the experience. if you want a competitive sim then this isnt for you. if you want the best ffb for your hardware then this isnt for you. this is basically the DIRT series before DIRT rally came along and upped the realism and difficulty.
