RaceRoom’s Summer Sale On Now (and the Best Way to Buy Content)

RaceRoom Racing Experience has announced their Summer Sale, which features all cars and tracks at 50% off, and all content packs at 25% off.

Developer Sector3 Studios recently announced that their RaceRoom Summer Sale is on now, and discounts will remain in effect until July 25th.
The sale is a significant one, featuring 50% off the regular price of all individual cars and tracks and a 25% discount off the regular price of content packs.

For those not aware of RaceRoom’s in-game purchasing system, the title uses its own currency, and users can use either a virtual wallet (vRP) or their Steam balance to buy content packs, individual cars and tracks, and even individual liveries a la carte. The virtual currency and purchasing system can be confusing for those new to RaceRoom, so below we’ll help you save some money by showing you the best way to purchase content for R3E.

But before we get into how to purchase content, it’s worth noting that RaceRoom is free-to-try, and there is a good selection of cars and tracks on offer as part of the free base game. Most of the mainstream tracks and car classes, however, are purchased separately.

There are a few ways to purchase content in RaceRoom. The most obvious being DLC on Steam, but this isn’t a system Sector3 has utilized for much of its content. Another way to purchase content is to browse the store in-game and use your Steam wallet rather than your VrP balance. But you should avoid this method and follow the steps below to save money.

The most efficient way to buy content is to preload your virtual wallet with vRP purchased through RaceRoom’s online store. When you purchase VrP, you’ll be emailed a code. This code can be used by logging into the RaceRoom game website using your Steam ID, and then clicking the redeem option under the wallet icon in the top right of the web page.

Redeeming the code loads the vRP balance you purchased into your wallet, which can then be used to purchase new content in game. The sim also has a test drive option when browsing cars in the in-game store, which allows you to try out the cars at any of five tracks before you buy it.

RaceRoom has enjoyed a following in the sim community for almost a decade, and continues to receive significant updates including a recent overhaul of its force feedback system.

For those looking to try out some of their new content, be sure to join us for a race in our Simracing.gp community. We feature regular races in R3E, including our incredibly fun daily WTCR races.

Let us know in the comments below what content you plan to buy during the RaceRoom Summer Sale.

if I buy the pro pack with in game currency its 7500points for 49,99 Euro (for everything) - and in a few weeks they will for sure release a bunch of new content. Does anyone know something about new content coming soon?

At 25% discount for the complete pack go for it - it'll cost less than F1 2021 just cost me (every year I always feel a little bit dirty for doing this)

Honestly it's well worth going all in anyway - there's already so much diverse content to be enjoyed. As far as future released are concerned you can always pick an choose what you want. I have everything except those electric milk floats they released lately..

Bought the premium pack last summer. What's the best way to purchase all the content that has been added since then?

Wish they'd stick it all on one website if you want to buy VRP.
As far as I'm aware the reason why it's so convoluted is that it is effectively a loophole to get around having to pay steam their cut, and you as customer benefit pretty much 100% from that

If you buy the content on Steam then you'll pay around 30% more and 30% just happens to be Steams cut.

Personally I just buy through Steam as it keeps it simple for me, and it's not like the content is that expensive even with the Steam tax, but obviously Î totally understand when 30% off is attractive for vast majority of other people.

I bought the premium package last year so it's just bits and pieces for me now. Just bought Brno and may get the Renault from the WTCC 2020. I get why they split the VRP from Steam but it's amazing how little it takes to put some new users off, even just simple step like buying VRP on a different website to the main content.

They say acc isn’t optimised... omg this sim is horrible fps at times but fantastic for touring cars action.
Yeah, I recently bought all content after the new ffb update. Although I really like the game, the FPS variation is the most dramatic from any racing sim I play (AC, ACC, AMS, AMS2). If the developers revamped the graphics and improved overall performance it might overtake AC as my favourite racing title.

I think it’s the direct x 9 limitation

I must say it's quite off putting to see, a couple years after I bought the premium pack, that there is 69 cars and 19 tracks I don't own (and I bought a few cars and tracks after I bought the premium pack) that people who buy this pack today have without paying the 170 EUR (less if using VRP and buying packs, but still, and it's the sale price) I would have to pay to get them... Great way to reward old loyal customers and to push them away.
