RaceRoom Racing Experience has announced their Summer Sale, which features all cars and tracks at 50% off, and all content packs at 25% off.
Developer Sector3 Studios recently announced that their RaceRoom Summer Sale is on now, and discounts will remain in effect until July 25th.
The sale is a significant one, featuring 50% off the regular price of all individual cars and tracks and a 25% discount off the regular price of content packs.
For those not aware of RaceRoom’s in-game purchasing system, the title uses its own currency, and users can use either a virtual wallet (vRP) or their Steam balance to buy content packs, individual cars and tracks, and even individual liveries a la carte. The virtual currency and purchasing system can be confusing for those new to RaceRoom, so below we’ll help you save some money by showing you the best way to purchase content for R3E.
But before we get into how to purchase content, it’s worth noting that RaceRoom is free-to-try, and there is a good selection of cars and tracks on offer as part of the free base game. Most of the mainstream tracks and car classes, however, are purchased separately.
There are a few ways to purchase content in RaceRoom. The most obvious being DLC on Steam, but this isn’t a system Sector3 has utilized for much of its content. Another way to purchase content is to browse the store in-game and use your Steam wallet rather than your VrP balance. But you should avoid this method and follow the steps below to save money.
The most efficient way to buy content is to preload your virtual wallet with vRP purchased through RaceRoom’s online store. When you purchase VrP, you’ll be emailed a code. This code can be used by logging into the RaceRoom game website using your Steam ID, and then clicking the redeem option under the wallet icon in the top right of the web page.
Redeeming the code loads the vRP balance you purchased into your wallet, which can then be used to purchase new content in game. The sim also has a test drive option when browsing cars in the in-game store, which allows you to try out the cars at any of five tracks before you buy it.
RaceRoom has enjoyed a following in the sim community for almost a decade, and continues to receive significant updates including a recent overhaul of its force feedback system.
For those looking to try out some of their new content, be sure to join us for a race in our Simracing.gp community. We feature regular races in R3E, including our incredibly fun daily WTCR races.
Let us know in the comments below what content you plan to buy during the RaceRoom Summer Sale.
