Valencia completes upcoming ACC DLC pack

Kunos is heavily teasing its next update for Assetto Corsa Competizione. The latest piece of content announced to be joining the game next week is the Valencia circuit.

Teasing its supposed 'biggest ACC update ever,' Kunos has just announced the track set to join the upcoming DLC pack for Assetto Corsa Competizione. Circuit Ricardo Tormo has featured in GT World Challenge Europe for three years now and is coming to ACC next week.

The circuit completes the soon-to-be-released DLC alongside a trio of new cars. The Ferrari 296 GT3, Porsche 992 911 GT3 R and Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo 2 are also coming to the sim on 19 April.

In a Tweet announcing the track, Kunos also revealed that the content pack will be called the 2023 GT World Challenge DLC. Surprisingly enough, it will focus on this year's premier European GT3 championship. It should also bring all the drivers, teams and liveries from this coming year to the game. But don't expect every livery to feature quite yet as we are yet to see the cars compete in Round 1.

Another incomplete DLC pack

Whilst the addition of three new cars and a circuit will provide a new lease of life to the game, it is true that the so-called 2023 GT World Challenge pack won't fully represent this season. Prior to heading to Spain for the Valencia Sprint round, the SRO series will also pay a visit to the Hockenheim Ring this year. Unfortunately, it seems this much-desired venue will remain missing from the game.

This isn't the first time that a DLC pack for Assetto Corsa Competizione will lack key content. Back in 2020, the DLC pack for that year brought Imola to the game alongside a pair of new cars. But it lacked Magny Cours, another round from that year's season. Today, fans still call out for this gap to be filled.

Whilst it is disappointing to see the German track lack representation in the game, we remain positive about the inclusion of Valencia. Traditionally a bike track, it often lacks representation in simracing. The last time it officially featured in a title was back in the GTR2 days.

The 2023 GT World Challenge DLC will release on 19 April alongside the next update for the game which is said to be a revolutionary one. Just one week away from the big release, we are excited to see the now five year-old game rejuvenated.

Which piece of content are you most excited for in the new 2023 GT World Challenge DLC?

Ricardo Tormo is one of the best flowing tracks and variuos classes produce close and interesting races. I don't play acc anymore bit this track is one of my favourite. For those who buy it expect many technical corners and foegetting about time you actually play the sim. Great adition for acc players for sure!

Mixed feelings.

I welcome any new track to ACC - they are sorely needed. Valencia is a good circuit that I have fond memories of racing in RACE 07.

On the other hand, for what is effectively the official SRO GT3 product to be unable to achieve completeness (Hockenheim, Magny Cours etc) is a little disappointing.

So this means that the hints about GT2 they gave last year were BS? There was talk about 5-6 new cars at least.
Personally for me there is absolutely no reason to go to ACC. AC still has a lot of free and paid mods coming out, it looks better and better with each CSP update, and if I want online, I go to iRacing. ACC public servers are only Monza anyway.

Come and give the ACC club a go :)

I'll skip that, 2 in a row, I got all before these two since AC1. To be fair I hope this is the last breath of ACC and the crew's fuel is from now on fully to AC2.

They do take their time with new content and it's not totally up to date or complete. But they could be releasing a new game every year instead, with minor changes and full price for the few new tracks and cars... So far all DLC content has been well worth the price for me. ACC has a perfect driving feel for me, and I guess I am weird in that I drive the GT4's as much if not more than the GT3's. They have more character and suit a couple of circuits better. I also love the BMW M2 CS.

Any content is welcome but I am more interested in what other changes or refinements the update may bring.

You are probably confusing it with the F1 Valencia Street Circuit that was active from 2008 to 2013. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valencia_Street_Circuit It's a different circuit this one :)
Could be... I probably heard about the track shutting down in passing while group chatting on Xbox or something, and assumed it was Ricardo Tormo. Either way I like the track that is coming to ACC. I have had fond memories of it from Race Pro. Horrible version of Race 07, but Valencia was one of the highlights.

I believe DLC is just a cherry on the top of the actual update, physics, base setups, perhaps some graphics, almost positive DLAA.

One track is better than no tracks but calling this "the biggest DLC ever" is a bit disingenuous..
Clearly this is not the biggest DLC ever (we've had even 4 tracks in one DLC in the past), this is a decent DLC with 3 cars and 1 track. What we have been told is that it will come with the biggest base game update (free), version 1.9.
This update will apparently include relevant changes to the car tire model, and as this is an esports title this means all the aliens out there are on their toes to see how setups and driving will change, because the new SRO esports series will begin just a few weeks later.

I must say I expected more from this DLC, but this is a track that I haven't driven in a long long time so I take it. Hopefully the update itself is decent.

Oh, and hopefully all these goodies find their way into AC2 as well.

i so hate this track, its one of those tracks i find way too small for proper edge of the seat gt3 racing (guess its ok for gt4 or even smaller classes), like with Oschersleben, all these small scale circuits don't do it for me. clearly this is a more bike centric circuit.
now, every new track is in and of itself good news, but man, they sure could not get a more boring track in (for me! before you come at me)

Not gonna buy anything for ACC unless they release something that makes sense to me.
- First of all, GT3 became boring (everything is about GT3's nowadays) which have sense taking in count the approach of this game, but it is not appealing to me anymore.
- Taking in count is a game that tries to replicate the SRO Championships in my opinion it does not fulfill its purpose as it does not replicate it in terms of the content available.
- The DLC's system online provide a month of enjoyment in my case as once you've driven the different combos provided with the content, there nothing more to it

For the rest of the things I do believe it is a great game, good physics, good FFB, good graphics and it really is great fun driving in it
2 coffee at starbucks, or 2 beers at a cafe is the same price. With no hangover.
