GRID Legends Releases New Demolition Derby-style DLC Today

The new mode called "Classic Car-Nage" promises to fill the niche of racing to the utmost destruction of the vehicles. This story-based game mode features 4 new tracks and 5 new vehicles alongside a free vehicle for all GRID Legends players.

What Classic Car-Nage Entails

The new game mode is a special series of racing events that reintroduces characters from the ‘Driven to Glory’ story mode and delivers a no holds barred experience that pushes the GRID rule book to its limit.

The first episode focuses on Valentin Manzi, portrayed by award-winning British actor Ncuti Gatwa, as he and the rest of the field wreak havoc through eight Classic Car-Nage story events.

Players also gain access to five new vehicles, including an ice-cream truck, and four new routes across two locations, the Yokahama Docks and the intense heat of Havana. Three new sponsored Career Events will also be available with this expansion.

A New Take on Demolition Derby

“Classic Car-Nage brings the cathartic and fascinating destructive experience of demolition derby into the GRID Legends universe,” said Steven Brand, Associate Creative Director at Codemasters. “New routes with multiple crossovers and ramps ensure plenty of opportunities for pile-ups, and story mode objectives allow players to work on personal strategies to survive the events. I’m looking forward to joining folks online to cause some mayhem!”

Classic Car-Nage’s online multiplayer interaction invites players to cause even more mayhem on track by challenging their friends, who can play the pack’s content for free, as long as they own the GRID Legends base game.

Connecting Digital and Real Life

For this release GRID Legends alongside Team Fordzilla, Ford's own esports organisation will be attending the Goodwood Festival of Speed from June 23rd to 26th.

Together, the two brands will launch a car model called the Team Fordzilla P1. A full-scale model will be present at Goodwood, while all players will receive the digital version for free. An in-game leaderboard event will be taking place from June 23rd to July 29th in which all players can compete for the fastest lap time.

GRID Legends’ new Demo Derby-style game mode, Classic Car-Nage, is available for purchase today on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation®5, alongside PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Deluxe Edition owners will get instant access to this content pack.

What a waste of DLC for a bunch of fake cars.

They own SMS, they should have heaps of good quality assets to recycle easily.

Look at what AMS2 benefitted from SMS trove of assets.

Ok this is my chance to tell the world my opinion about this game. (missed it after game release)

Sometimes i like those arcade style "controller-racing-games" like Forza Motorsport fe.

But i don`t know what the hell was motivating me to buy the game some weeks ago (maybe some positive comments on the web  )

This is that bad i just can`t describe it. no challange, ultra arcadish gameplay, ridiculous "story" mode with c-movie netflix style videos.
I mean a really disappointing PC3 is already waaaay better than this one.

Whats the target customer for this game? A 12-14 years old boys? maybe....

Days later i got a 80€ speeding ticket (in real life :)), that was less wasted money as buying this game ...

How the hell you say even PC3 was better? I don’t think I’ll buy grid legends now.

I like more arcade racing games and I can’t stand even PC3 with their shitty classes and balancing. Why the hell F40C is in GT4?

Fully agreed I made this mistake too and bought this game just after release. The only time I have played it was to make first look video.

Never touched this game again after creating the video which become a devastating critic of that... don't know what to call it.

You can find the video by searching "is it good for serious sim racing" in the media section.

By the way, if anyone wants to play some really good demolition derby, go and by Wreckfest which is still the best fun arcade game.
Great graphics combined with good physics and the most important thing, a huge serious community for online racing as well as the endless modding capabilities.

It clearly has a better physics. Feels lot better while driving.
With controller not that bad people are make it. Definetly NO wheel game.

Even with fantasy classes it has at least not bad progression (career) system. Withous those awful cutscenes.

NOTE: All this does not mean, i recommend PC3 to someone :D but if i had too choose while on lonely isle i would take PC3 all the time.
Beside of this, a far not perfect FM7 hust outclass them both in every way.

Is a mixed from Grid 2019, Dirt5, Dirt Showdown, now a free DLC? Who cares? same thrash game they are very very Lost from what simracing community wants or needs but they are going straight against the wall, they don't listening people so....i hope they find a better way if they Will release Wec Game or Btcc
