Once again an exceptional guest joined us, this time the professional driver of the Williams e-sports team and well-known RD member, Tariq Gamil!
It was a really nice time we had chatting with Tariq. It's not often that a simracer succeeds in becoming a professional driver, whether in e-sports or traditional motor racing: it's a feat that requires talent, dedication and sacrifice. It is precisely these three elements that have been crucial in Tariq's journey that we talked about with him in the latest episode of the podcast.
How it all started, how it evolved, the missteps and the right choices, Tariq told us all with serene humbleness and genuine honesty. I think I speak for the entire RD Podcast group when I say that it is always refreshing and inspiring to see, or rather hear, how people who manage to realise personal dreams or give back to the community (in this case both) are always very down to earth, with simple and friendly manners.
Tariq took the time to answer our usual barrage of questions and to give some tips to all simracers who also dream of achieving goals such as getting involved in e-sports or simply want to become more serious in their level of online racing competitiveness; and who knows, we might hear from him again soon?
As we thank Tariq, we would also like to wholeheartedly thank all of you, dear listeners, as we approach the end of the podcast's fourth season (don't worry, the usual summer break is still a month away, and season five is already being planned!). If you enjoyed our chats and bickering, do leave us a review or share your feedback with us in the comments.
Please enjoy the episode!
