Ever since the initial release on PC and Xbox One in October 2021, Circuit Superstars has seen critical acclaim. The top-down racer has been steadily improved - and is now out on PlayStation 4! The game's PS community is not going to be alone, however: Circuit Superstars supports cross-platform play for the newly-added console version as well.
Developer Original Fire Games keeps delivering on a feature that many sim racers and gamers alike would love to see in more titles. No matter if you are on PC, Xbox or PlayStation - everyone will be able to compete against each other. In practice, this works perfectly well - lobbies are a nice mix of players of all platforms, with the racing being competitive and no platform having a noticeable advantage. This allows everyone to enjoy the variety of content the game has to offer.
Speaking of content: More is planned throughout 2022, as per the roadmap released for Circuit Superstars. Since October, the game has seen the implementation of reverse track layouts, slipstreaming, oval racing, among other things, as well as custom online lobbies in the most recent update. Additions like specator mode or ranked matchmaking are in the works.
With the PlayStation release, two of the three major consoles are now covered - and the third is set to follow suit: According to the roadmap, the second quarter of 2022 will see a release for the Nintendo Switch as well - meaning you will be able to take the action to the road with you.
What do you think of the plans for Circuit Superstars, and which additions would you like to see in the future? Let us know in the comments!
