Hello everyone,
the iconic Suzuka Circuit now has 3D trees. It's still a Work In Progress (improvement goals, see down below). My biggest thanks go to tcfshcrw for his great Workaround Tool (everybody could place 3D trees with this tool, just have a look at this Tutorial) and his Free-To-Use-trees and also to Johannes Steiger for the inspiration to do this and the use of his great Monza trees (check this mod out as well).
Approx. 2600 3D-trees have been hand-placed and they are replacing every original 2D-tree.
!You need Reboot Teams "rt_suzuka" first. Link: Reboot Team rt_suzuka!
!I highly recommend to create a BACKUP of the original files before installing!
!Please install manually!
!Unpack .zip in assettocorsa-rootfolder!
You need CSP 1.79 or higher to use the Tree FX feature.
There could be an FPS impact on the straight between hairpin and spoon curve and especially on the backstretch straight after the spoon curve. If this is unacceptable go to the track folder "rt_suzuka" --> extension --> trees and rename the "trees_Birch.txt" to "trees.txt" (rename the original "trees.txt" to something else first). In this case you only have birches, but the performance is better and it still looks much better than the 2D-trees (doesn't fit Japan though).
Enjoy guys, any feedback is appreciated & needed!
Improvement Goals:
1. I have no clue which trees are standing around Suzuka Circuit. Right now it's more like an european mixed coniferous forest. Any hints about the real trees are appreciated.
2. I, by myself, have no clue about 3D modeling (right now I'm looking into blender). If you're able to model nice trees and make them work with the tree model converter in Content Manager (Content --> Tools --> Creator Tools), send them or a tutorial how to do it! I will make them work around tracks
3. As I have no clue about 3D modeling, I have no idea right now how to improve the performance of the trees I'm already using. Here thankfully tcfshcrw is already working on the performance of his trees. So there could be an update in the near future.

Just go to the assettocorsa-rootfolder: content --> tracks --> rt_suzuka --> extension and open "ext_config.ini".
There you find [TREES] as the 2nd section directly under [MODEL REPLACEMENT]. Just rename "trees.txt" behind "LIST_0 =" into "trees_ReworkedOak.txt" or "trees_Birches.txt". Especially the last one should give you some FPS back, but it doesn't have the variety of trees. Maybe in the summer I'll have another look into it for more and different performance packs.
