Hello everyone, even though apparently this track is being professionally Lidar scanned I thought I'd share my personal version which I've had for a few years now. It all started out in RTB and then late last year I made the "bad decision" of improving it in Blender.
I pulled together all my somewhat limited 3D design and after a wayyyyy too long time I give you this mostly accurate real life racetrack from Romania.
A few things to consider:
-Google terrain data didn't help at all it was very inaccurate actually which made me manually create the terrain and track elevation from memory and some footage alone.
-track elevation accuracy I believe is somewhere around 85-90%, but in most parts it gives you the real experience, building accuracy is 95%
-one of the problems with the map (bad news for sim racers) is the lap time which is pretty far from real life for some reason even though everything is to scale and it was fine in RTB (any suggestions how to fix this are welcome)
-grass is through GrassFx for now, screens were made with SOL+PURE
Last but not least you will probably notice some weird stuff it's really an amateur work and it got too time consuming so I'm happy to just finally release it. This is still a WIP I don't know if I'll have the time to continue working on it but I plan to fix any bigger bugs or mistakes in the map you guys will notice and also add more objects in the paddock and some missing objects from around the track and also add AI.
