This app shows a scrolling height map of a track, based on "fast_lane.ai". Nobody asked, nobody needs, but here it is.
Requires working AI line, works in both Vanilla AC and with CSP.
Install: Unpack archive to AC root. Icons included.
All options in ContentManager UI are also available in-game, click the app and some controls appear.
With Vanilla AC Its quite heavy on performance
- maybe dont use STEPPING=1, but higher values like 4 or 5
- dont use more than 300 for "back" + "forward" tracking values
With CSP it barely has a performance impact.
Example on Nordschleife - Note: in zoomed Mode, height graph is exaggerated by 2x at all times for better legibility, on the right Full Mode (v1.4):
Simply enable here, if you wanna see options, go to the other screen:
Somewhat unrelated to this app - there is a python script included in this folder:
-standalone python script, does not work in AC
-you need to have python installed, needs PIL pillow image lib installed (pip install pillow)
-generates a nice height map of a track from AI line, basically same as the app above does
-generates two images:
"result.png" width = ai-line length (~13k for Nordschleife), and min + max height values = height of the image
"result_scaled.png" - scaled down to 2535 pixels in with, height is same as above
Use provided "dragNdrop.....cmd",
that calls python for you, if its properly installed/integrated into windows
or use it like this:
Three examples of "result_scaled.png", three runs with different values for transparency on this file: "ks_nordschleife\nordschleife\ai\fast_lane.ai"
