The Ventura MMM Series (v 1.26, 27 February 2024)
You can overwrite previous versions, but this also functions as a standalone installation for anyone new to the mod.
See the end of this post for collages.
The fictional Ventura MMM series sees the FWD Mini Challenge, the AWD MIT Lancer R, and the RWD Mazda MX-5 Cup battle for layout supremacy among (relatively speaking) slow race cars!
We have endeavored to balance these vehicles for performance. Each retains its unique handling characteristics while providing close racing, regardless of your chosen car. Note that true balance of performance is practically impossible to attain at an individual track, much less at a general level, so from time to time one car may stand out over the others at a particular venue.
Each model now features 13 teams/26 cars.
Each car has been fitted with a six-speed semiautomatic transmission (paddles), fictional ZBV racing slick tyres, and feature top speeds of about 220 kph. For full details on car specs, please see the included documentation.
For a full list of credits, see the included documentation in the Vehicles directory. Some thanks are in order here, however:
@Reb.Ellion : for granting us permission to release this mod as a standalone without requiring dependencies on the excellent MX-5 Cup mod. We've had to include the original sound folder to make this happen -- if you already have the MX-5 cup mod, you can simply overwrite the appropriate sounds folder with no issue. We urge all parties interested in AMS1 to download the original mod to experience the MX-5 as was originally intended: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/ams-2006-mazda-mx5-cup.25048/
@Eddie Redmayne : for digging into the Miata files and providing a means for painting glass and rims for the Miata, and for providing a 3D wing asset to include on the Miata; for reminding me that factory aids shouldn't carry any penalties; and for pointing me toward parameters that improved blue flag and track rejoin behavior of the AI!
RaceZilla: for contributing the FSTR livery for version 1.25!
