The fifth generation Honda Civic hatchback, EG6, needs little introduction. Produced from 1991 to 1995, EG6- Si-R version is a highly sought after hot-hatch for it’s free-revving VTEC engine, 4 wheel double-wishbone suspension, in a lightweight and affordable chassis.
Application:
These files are for the stock spec 1993/94 Honda Civic Si-R (EG6) from Assetto Corsa Real Mod – JakubP 0.9 version, or later version posted by evadelsol in RaceDepartment. Although Evadelsol’s mods, in multiple versions, have since been blocked in RD, either can be easily found online. Just use the search word “Assetto Corsa Honda EG6” .
Motivation:
After sorting through my Honda collection I found 4 versions of EG6. There is a track version from 101Creative, a ‘91 tuned version from Touge Workshop (1.1), and the 2 are the 2-pack from evadelsol. The track version has a lot of grip and apparently lots of downforce. The Touge Workshop’s tuned EG6 was stiff, with high ride frequency, but grip falls off sharply. I suspect its 0.11 cm trail caused it. In any case, I was looking for something closer to stock body, thus I chose the ACRM version.
The ACRM or JakubP’s EG6 actually was very difficult to drive. The steering wheel was extremely difficult to turn and the response goes on and off. It too has geometry issue.
Work List:
negative camber: 1.0/0.7
toe: 0/-0.07
ARB 8000/3000
Conclusion:
Overall, I am satisfied with the outcome. The revised suspension was responsive to left-foot braking and the steering feels more .. progressive. It encourages me to be smoother and not so abrupt with transitions. And I was surprised that I was 4 seconds a lap quicker on Laguna Seca. Even the AI was more consistent with the new setting. Please let me know if you have better data or suggestions. Thank you and enjoy!

Work List:
- Lowered CG from 0.59 to about 0.50 cm, by increasing basey from -0.31 to -0.22.
- Adjusted front suspension to -2.5 degree caster and trail about 0.8 cm.
- Incorporated 91 CR-X rear suspension geometry.
- Tuned and adjust rake, i.e. front / rear instant center height.
- Change steering lock to 4.1 turns lock to lock and 18.1 steering ratio. Lowered ForceFeedbackMultiplier from 10 to 3.3.
- Added setup options. Tuned and test drive.
- Checked and adjusted bumpstop Up/down/range.
- Reduced inertia.
